I tried on the Vizion skates and did not like them. The toe cap which is supposed to be "streamlined" or whatever just gelt stiff and painful against the ball of my foot. The area around the ankles also felt like it was too high and restrictive. Coming from Makos going into Warrior Alpha Pros. Both have great comfort.

I managed to find a seller in China. Shipping was stupid expensive but apparently this shipper knows about us Powerfeet cult members and is capitalizing. I paid the tariff no problem and got them yesterday. I put them in, with the included shims and I love it. My toes are so cozy in there; like a dream. Now I am awaiting a profiling to see if I can recreate the Mako pitch, as I am still skidding out when I try to cross over.

Nice touch on the stretch mesh gussets. I got a pair of retail Bauer Supremes about 10 years ago with these types of gussets and I can never go back. Why does no one go with this feature? It seems like a no brainer for ventilation.

I have pretty big calves/ ankles (nothing special about my upper legs or quads but the lower is kinda big). I tried on the new Warrior shins in store. I have bee in Reebok 20K Pro for the past 12 years. There is really no comparison. The new Warrior shins felt like they literally grabbed onto my shin, but they were so thin that I did not feel like I had the comprehensive wrap that the Reebok K Pro/ Tacks line offers. I do take a lot of pucks off of the sides of my lower legs and the 20K Pros were always there to catch the force. I would not trust the Warriors to do this (or any other shin other than the K Pro/ Tacks lines which seem to have that anatomical/ extra material for guys with some volume down there below the knees. To go back off topic, I have tried on a lot of the Tacks lines as I have been in the Reebok 20K pro, and I do not see them as being much different. Sure, they have that orange substance in them (I forget what it is called but I think CCM is going to Zote foam now anyway?) but I am not sold on that orange stuff being better than HD foam with a plastic insert which is what I have on the wings that wrap around the outer lower leg from shin to calf (and has always done it's job taking puck impacts when I have gotten hit there). And I agree that the Jetspeed/ FT line of shins is just not it (unless the player has super small calves, perhaps?)

I could not even find the bite with 1/2. The rink I play at has notoriously hard ice though FWIW. I put a quad profile on today, so we will see if I can find the outside edge with this.

@EBondogree the shoulders are amazing!! But they only go up to Large and I need an XL (6'2/ 250). The Large felt amazing on every level, I just needed a size up and it would be perfect but no XL!!! @flip12 I actually like the black and gold. I mean I like women in hot lingerie- usually I prefer pink on a woman and do not really associate black and gold with lingerie, but either way I like the aesthetic. I do think the skate prototype color scheme was better though (replace the gold with the silver/ grey) UPDATE on the skates- played pickup today and was sliding around like crazy/ could not find my outside edge. The sharpen was 1/2 inch. I talked to a guy I skate with who demoed the skates and he said he had the same problem and it is an issue with the holders being moved in a half inch. He suggested I get the skates profiled to mud which will give me more bite on turns and I plan to get it done tomorrow.

I picked up a pair and went for a public skate in them. The ice was bumpy as hell (I usually play pickup at this rink) and I did not feel confident at all without all my gear on. Also, there is a lot of negative space in the toe cap, and I had been wearing the Powerfeet inserts with my previous skates since around 2015 or so. I totally forgot about this until after I got off the ice and am looking for a place to buy the inserts again. I hope that it is the lack of inserts that has me feeling so unconfident (and not the skates, and not that I am a trash skater). I do remember that when I first started wearing the inserts, I instantly felt more confident and felt like the skates moved with me instead of feeling like they were always lagging. The ankle height is definitely lower on the Warriors skates than other brands, but did nt feel that different than Makos. I tried on a pair of CCM Vizions right after the Warriors and the Warriors felt more comfortable and natural. I did not like the to box in the Vizions how it was all one piece in a straight line. The Warrior toe box seems about identical to the Mako which I loved- anatomical and they seemed like a distinct piece from the rest of the boot. And the Visions also made my feet feel like they were in casts, but I am not used to traditional boots after having been in Makos since around 2014 (minus all the time I took off for CoronaPacylpse and the aftermath).

Does anyone know where I can buy Adrenaline Powerfeet inserts? I bought them on Amazon before and have seen them on pure hockey and their own site in Canada but can’t find them. Anyone have any leads where I can grab a pair?

Will the layered carbon on the outsole plus all of the plush interior be the equivalent of wearing shot blockers? I wear shot blockers and am looking for a pair of skates that integrates the shot blocking effect into the stock construction.

Yea I figured you didn't see it all the way through/ all good. I emailed them with the email on the site, through the contact us, everything. I am guessing they went out of business.

@malcb33 Did you actually try to order though? I mean, put an item in your cart, give your CC details and hit pay? I can see the site and make it to that final step, but when I try to buy, I get these 2 screens ... the first one is not blocking me, it is just a bit jerky in that the tea were the store name should be says domain not found. And then when I try to enter in my details that bag takes them, but then get the message about a test order and test payment gateway (this is after I press the buy button)

Yea they look trash but they have the best attachment system and are not noticeable at all when on the skates.

JOFA is BACK!!! Any idea on release dates?
Cosmic replied to A2rhino's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I called CCM and the guy that answered the phone said this is releasing in September 2026 (he said, "I cannot give you an exact date, would you like an estimated date?" I said, sure" and he said "Sept 2026" ... I thought I would get a more generic time region like Fall or Summer or whatever so I was happy with his response. I asked about helmets and I cannot recall exactly what he said, either "Do not know yet," "Cannot say," or "Will have to wait and see." Cool guy/ A++ for customer service as far as I am concerned. I need a new pair of elbows as I am still using my CCM U+ Crazy Lights from 2013 or so. -
I am looking for runners for my Makos which are losing steel, and if I cannot find runners then I am buying the Warrior skates when my Makos run out of steel
-
I somehow managed to lose my CF9 shot blockers in my garage after pickup last week, and am trying to buy a new pair. This site will not let me check out: https://cf9-ca.myshopify.com/collections/all Does anyone know where I can buy these to get shipped to the USA?

Girdles: CCM Jetspeed vs Bauer ACP Pro
Cosmic replied to pucks_putts's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I actually bought the JAMM off of eBay. There is ZERO spine protection. I am not planning on getting crosschecked there, but if it happens, I would want some spine protection there. I did not even try it on and ended up returning it. -
I am not accusing the guys who loved the Warrior skates of being paid influences. Maybe they are legit enthusiastic? Or maybe they are paid to wear the skates as they are low level pros or get the skates free etc? I don't know. But yea I would let my interest in these skates prevent me from getting the skates available now as my Makos have a lot of life left in them (the boots are in perfect shape as I wear full shot blockers); so even if I cannot get steel for 9 months, I should be able to hold out until the Warriors launch.

I actually went to the local shop to try on True skates, which I had been hearing were the likely next suspect for us Mako guys. The guy who fitted me and baked the skates seemed more impressed by what great shape my Makos were in than by how much he thought I would enjoy the True skates. He showed me an IG post of the Warrior skates with these mint lime wheels and white chassis on his phone and I was like, "Yea, so? I mean yea the colors look cool but I am not an inliner." He was like, "Hold off on the True skates and look into the Warrior skates/ hold off until they launch and then decide." And I was like "Meh, ok fine I will look into the Warriors when I get home." So I did, and I mean maybe the vids I watched were paid sponsorships or whatever but the people wearing the skates seems pretty impressed. I should add that the shop did not have my size in the True skates; he baked goale skates to get me sized and see if I liked the skates. I kinda did and was seriously considering ordering my size and buying them but he kinda talked me out of the purchase (which I appreciate- nothing worse than the sleezy slaesman who is just pushing stuff on customers and this guy was next level not that guy). So yea I am pretty enthusiastic about the Warrior skates; and if they are lame then I will keep hunting sidelineswap for CXN runners.

How are you liking the JAMM? I am considering guying one a shot. -
Thanks for the response @sturdy22. I think I will save the $$ on the swaps and just apply it to the Warriors when they launch (or when they go on sale after they have been available for a minute if my steel holds out that long. @IPv6Freely I just started hunting for CXN runners. I saw a listing on Sideline Swap and thought I scored and then saw it was an old listing. The sage shall continue.

Does anyone have a recommendation for what to do with my Easton Makos that are running thin on their runners? I thought I bought an extra pair of steel but I cannot find it after 3 moves. Anyway, my steel is running thin. Size 9.5EE Makos with 280mm steel. What do I do if I cannot find replacement steel? Swap out the holders with Tuuk? Or wait for the Warrior skates? I figure I have 6-9 months to figure it out before the steel gets down to unplayable.

Does anyone know where to find this? Looks pretty perfect.
-
This is great news. I am just getting back into playing after a 2 year layoff due to CoronaPacolpyse, and love the idea of having something available when my Makos are done.

I loved the CCM P30, but since it is not super aggressive in any way and just subtle in all categories, I guess it was not a big seller and has since been discontinued. I took a look at the P90TM in store today. It looks decent'ish, may be worth a try, but does not seem to be it. Just looking at blade pattern charts, the Sherwood PP14 looks perfect, but has that been discontinued? I cannot find it on any sites. I am not opposed to going the ProStockHockey route if anyone has a link to a stick that is a P30 clone. I am RH, 95 flex.
