  1. I’ve had great experiences with Labeda Asphalts too. Definitely would recommend them to anyone needing good outdoor wheels.
  2. For me it was finding the right size skates. After taking a several year hiatus I got a pair of second hand skates from my cousin that I got me back into hockey and that I wore for years cause they didn’t hurt my feet, felt comfortable enough and I just didn’t know any better. Fast forward a few years and I went from wearing a Mission 9E skate to currently a Bauer Supreme size 6EE. Obviously a huge difference.
  3. I was bummed by it too. I’m guessing it has to do with the number of people on the set being reduced or something like that. You can still listen to the live radio feed (I use the TuneIn Radio app) or download the podcast.
  4. I have a pair of Bauer Nexus size 5.5EE that I want to convert and am wondering what the right size Hi-Lo chassis would be. The TUUK holder on there now is the same size that Bauer puts on a pair of 6D skates, so should I apply the same logic to the chassis and go with a Senior small or a junior size? Also where can I find a junior size chassis? All I can find are senior sizes. Thanks.
  5. By far my favorite jock. I use the jock only one for roller hockey and the jock/garter belt combo for ice hockey. One I bought from eBay and one from a European shop that shipped to the states.
  6. Sorry to hijack the thread, does anyone know when Mission is releasing updated protective gear? I’m in the market for a new girdle and have had good luck with Mission ones in the past. Thanks.
  7. Welcome to the site. I’m 5’7” 160 lbs and have worn Bauer & CCM size small pants, so you seem right on the sizing. I haven’t used Warrior pants though.
  8. I’ve been using the CCM Tacks elbow pads and love them, light weight with tons of protection. Previously I had been in the Reebok KFS line, so it was an easy transition.
  9. My newest gloves courtesy of PSH. Absolutely love them, except I thought the name would have been embroidered on.
  10. I know with the yellow's baking was not advised, I believe it had to do with the glue holding them together. Not sure about the carbons, but i wouldn't recommend it unless they're designed to be baked.
  11. Warrior Pro Player Bag 32” Level of play: Beer league indoor ice & roller hockey, 2x a week. I bought this bag about a year and a half ago, after some of the zippers started to go on my old Bauer bag, which had several external compartments. After reading several good reviews here on MSH, I figured I’d give this bag a shot. Durability: This bag has been great. I was curious how the mesh top would hold up and it’s been great. It really helps air out the gear well. The zippers are all still going strong and seem really durable. The material used seems like it will last a long time, and the interior mesh pockets have held up really well too. 10/10 Storage/Features: I wasn’t sure how I was going to like a bag without extra compartments, and I’m very happy I switched. It has 2 skate pockets, and 3 mesh pockets along the long side of the bag. The interior pockets are perfect for jerseys, socks, tape, etc, the skate pockets help keep the bag standing upright, and there’s more than enough room for all my gear. My only real complaint is that I wish the interior color was lighter, making it easier to see dark items in the bag. 8/10 Conclusion: Very happy with this bag. It has tons of room for all my gear, and I really love all the mesh pockets. Definitely seems heavy duty and like it will last a for a while. 9/10 (18/20)
  12. Bauer ReAkt Titanium Cage Height - 5'7" Weight - 175 lbs Size - Medium Level of play: Beer league indoor ice & roller hockey, 2x a week. Fit: Cage fit very well on both my small CCM V08 and my medium Reebok 4K. I currently use it on my Reebok 4K and am very happy. The chin cup feels nice and the cage itself is very, very easy to see through. This is definitely an improvement from the Bauer FM4500 I was previously using. 10/10 Protection: The titanium seems as strong if not stronger than any other cage I've used in the past. I've taken a few sticks and pucks to the cage, and it has held up really well. 10/10 Weight: This is bar far the best part of the cage. I can't believe how light it is, you really do not notice it while playing. 10/10 Durability: I've been using this cage for about a year and it has held up to everything so far. No dents, rust, or any issues at all. 10/10 Conclusion: By far the best and lightest cage I've ever worn. It is a bit expensive, but to me, worth every penny. I would recomend this to anyone looking to upgrade their current facemark. 10/10 (40/40)
  13. Mission Pro Compression Roller Hockey Girdle Height - 5'7" Weight - 175 lbs Pant size - Medium Level of play: Beer league indoor hockey, 2x a week. Fit: These are tight fitting compression pants, that really move well with you as you skate. When I first tried them on, they felt like they hugged around my body much more than the Mission Thorax I was replacing. I ordered a medium based on my weight and was worried they may be a bit long, but they fit really well and I haven't noticed any issues. The spine guard in the back feels a bit high and my jersey does get hung up on it from time to time, but its not the biggest issue. 9/10 Protection: They are really built well with lots of protection in the right areas. Coming from a pair of Mission Thorax pants, the layer of protection has been really beefed up. I really like the thigh guards, and although the padded belt takes a little getting used to, it is a nice feature. I mentioned my jersey getting hung up on the spine guard, but it is a nice protective feature to have. 9/10 Weight: Very light weight. Given the amount of protection they offer, they really did a great job of keeping the weight down. 10/10 Durability: They have held up well so far. I play defense and block a lot of shots and these have held up every time. So far no rips or anything. 9/10 Conclusion: Very nice upgrade from the Mission Thorax. The protection is excellent, the weight and fit are great, and I don't feel like I'm wearing overly bulky pants. The 37.5 is really nice, especially playing indoor roller hockey. I wouldn't say that they keep me noticeably cooler, but I'm definitely not overly hot while wearing them. Overall an excellent girdle for the player looking for a really solid amount of protection. Overall Rating: 9.25/10 (37/40)
  14. I got the Warrior Pro Player bag about a year and a half ago based on some reviews from people on this site. I've been extremely happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a new bag.
  15. Just ordered a pair for myself last night, can't wait to try them out!
  16. Chadd, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. There are no words at a time like this, you have my deepest condolences.
  17. Something like this?? http://www.hockeymonkey.com/ar-helmet-pinney.html
  18. Same thing happened to me a few years ago from a car accident, my head didn't hit a thing but I was out of it for months.
  19. I placed an order with HockeyMonkey around Thanksgiving, and the next day they changed their special to include free shipping. I used their "Chat with Us" customer service on the site, and they refunded my shipping no problem. Hopefully, they can make it right by you.
