I still don't think they've made a better glove than the Vapor XXX. I didn't weigh the shins but they were lightweight, but nothing to write home about. Didn't see the girdle.

Saw the new protective today, pretty unimpressed. The shins aren't anything special. The pants are a little upgraded, not bad. The elbows were horrible, I didn't like the plastic piece on the forearm and how that strap was attached. I also didnt like the interference with the bicep pad and the forearm. The one95 gloves were alright but I hated the palm. The adjustable cuff is nice but the index finger and thumb interfere with each other... just not the greatest gloves in my opinion.

The more I see them the more I hate the belt cover. Why couldnt they use a standard belt cover? Geez, look at that thing.

Our lhs cant keep coffeys in stock, he was right. When I worked at Sports Authority we sold twice as many Coffey 5030s as any other stick. Even though the one40 was cheaper, weighed less and had what I thought was a more popular pattern(P88). They only carried one pattern in most sticks.

Glide seems to fade as well as the usual edges getting dinged up... still better than a regular hollow.

...And stop complaining, a standard sharpening in Tampa is $10 in 3 different shops. BTW. I am on my second set of steel since Bouce sharpened my skates. I'm finding the effects of FBV fade over time but they hold their edges as well or better than a standard sharpening(90/75).

Thanks guys, posted them on phew but all i got was told off and told how my gloves sucked basically but with words like 'dusty' and 'benderish'. They are morons. MIAs sucked, then they started getting used more in the NHL and were "sick" and "dirrty" then Warrior came out with the same glove and it was even "dirttyer" ...yeah, that's a word( ). Then they got tired of seeing them so they became "dusty."

Carbon is great for accent colors. Tufftek and Carbon together look fantastic, in my opinion.

If it's not busy, take your time. As long as you aren't running us(salespeople) around, it's cool. It can get really boring when it's slow.

I think that FBV can draw business in by itself as a premium sharpening option, which would cost more. Word of mouth is a powerful tool, even if you give a few FBV sharpenings for the standard rate to get some sold on it... Most won't be going back to regular hollows. Yes, the economy is bad and a lot of people are cutting back... but we're talking a couple bucks and we're talking about hockey*. Most players/parents would have no problem spending a couple extra dollars to get an advantage. *I'd be willing to bet that the average income of a hockey playing household is higher than most other sports, simply because it's more expensive to get started and/or play in general.

People tend to have a different opinion about being a "big spender" when it's their money. I literally laughed when people would literally say "What can you do for a big spender like me?" When this guy is spending $1,200 at the store(non-hockey shop) where common sales were $2-3,000.
