  1. ...And stop complaining, a standard sharpening in Tampa is $10 in 3 different shops. BTW. I am on my second set of steel since Bouce sharpened my skates. I'm finding the effects of FBV fade over time but they hold their edges as well or better than a standard sharpening(90/75).
  2. Thanks guys, posted them on phew but all i got was told off and told how my gloves sucked basically but with words like 'dusty' and 'benderish'. They are morons. MIAs sucked, then they started getting used more in the NHL and were "sick" and "dirrty" then Warrior came out with the same glove and it was even "dirttyer" ...yeah, that's a word( ). Then they got tired of seeing them so they became "dusty."
  3. Carbon is great for accent colors. Tufftek and Carbon together look fantastic, in my opinion.
  4. I think that FBV can draw business in by itself as a premium sharpening option, which would cost more. Word of mouth is a powerful tool, even if you give a few FBV sharpenings for the standard rate to get some sold on it... Most won't be going back to regular hollows. Yes, the economy is bad and a lot of people are cutting back... but we're talking a couple bucks and we're talking about hockey*. Most players/parents would have no problem spending a couple extra dollars to get an advantage. *I'd be willing to bet that the average income of a hockey playing household is higher than most other sports, simply because it's more expensive to get started and/or play in general.
  5. Quoting pictures multiple times is underrated. I think you need to quote it one more time to make sure we get it.
  6. On the shelf next to the boots with da fur.
  7. Maybe if we both ask... Nah, that would probably only change the pitch to "NO!" :(
  8. Maybe the third time he'll get it right.
  9. Took a look at the new AK27 today. Man, it looks good in person. The grip on it is pretty odd but I thought polarfibre was pretty odd at first too... I think PF and this new grip would feel similar with gloves.
  10. Seriously. I just swapped steel to my second set... WOW, it felt like the first time on FBV all over again. It's amazing how much difference fresh edges make.
  11. Looks like Saprykin and Hlavac.
  12. I did like the video section on HG, even if some of them were just laughable. It's a great way to reach out and explain what that product description means. I'm not a fan of the design of the Warrior website, it's a little busy for my taste but the content is great. I bet there are plenty that love the design. The catalogue is what really captured my attention, I'm really interested in the new protection line... can't wait to see the product in person.
  13. Oh Green, not green... Gotcha... In that case, you're third on the list bud. Thanks for clarifying Budro.
  14. What gloves are green RBK, MIAs?
  15. Ouellet Very comfy and light. I wish the XXXXs were more protective in the hand/fingers but they're great gloves. Thanks for supporting the habit Heather. :)
  16. It's the "thick" blade I've been referring to for a long time... just with a different finish. The clearcoat is better and actually smooth. I have to check the cat. but I don't think this is the blade the retail 8.0.8 will come with.
  17. I won't be seeing a lot of icetime in the coming weeks but I will say it is far superior than ANY stick from RBK(Reebok) in the past(no RBK stick has made it past one use). Weight, for you weight junkies, is 470 for mine(pro stock) it's still slightly blade heavy but no more(in my opinion) than the R10 or XXXlite. Feel is on par with any other stick with this type of blade on it... The feel is phenomenal. She has a lot of kick in her. It's a keeper... and this is from a guy that turned down a free 9K0 2 months before it was released. One use is no basis for review or a true comparison, so please don't ask for one. I will confidently say that if the retail offering is similar to my pro stock version, it's worth a good look.
  18. It's got the "thick" blade on it.
