  1. “#teaser” would suggest otherwise.
  2. Cut to 62 inches standing against a wall but never used, non grip. Asking $90 shipped within the US OBO.
  3. I’m curious to hear about the results here as well- debating between CCM full customs and Trues.
  4. Fair, but when a huge sample of people report the same blade breaking in the same spot over and over (while avoiding the issue with other replacement blades) I start thinking that the item is probably just a poorly made POS. 🙂
  5. Is it fair to assume sticks will stay at $299, which means insane margins without the middle-man (wholesale)? I guess that’s one way to save a grossly mismanaged company.
  6. Landing page image of Ovechkin in CCM gear with the cup over his head?
  7. Pretty sure if you order them without the Step holder you don’t get the heel cup.
  8. @BelangerJS was this the case for pro stock boots as well? I.e would a pro stock 2015 Jetspeed in a 7.5D/A be the same length as a pro stock 8D/A FT1- all else held constant??
  9. Looking to sell as a pair- one is used twice and cut to 62 inches with no chips or cracks, the other is new and uncut. These are 75 flex RH, white graphics fading into black at the blade. Grip shaft with Warrior’s built in candy-cane texture. T4QRX code. Curve is Kampfer’s custom pattern which I would describe as P92 with the curve moved further back toward the heel. Sort of like a P92/P106 cross. Asking $150 shipped for the pair within the US https://imgur.com/a/QaR10dU
  10. I don’t agree with the bolded, at all. Bauer and CCM have the sizes clearly marked on them and it’s fairly easy to determine if anything was done to the vamping, stiffness, etc. Also, most pro return pairs are the same size in both feet. If anything, with how Bauer builds their retail skates (Nexus and Supreme) on oversized lasts it’s actually easier to figure out exactly what you’re getting with a pro stock skate.
  11. It’s funny but not a new or hockey specific phenomenon. What’s more enticing to the average consumer?- “a bubble of visible plastic under your heel” or “AirMax”.
  12. IceWarehouse has a free skate return program. Beats eating 50%+ of your cost buying something that doesn’t fit.
  13. Basically standard on all G3 build sticks.
  14. I’m willing to bet upwards of 80% of that 11% are in a “dated” tech mesh 2010 Vapor X60 dressed as a Nexus aka the V Cut.
  15. Not to confuse you further but all three are also built on different lasts. A Vapor D is a true (as in baseline width, not True/VH) D width as a starting point. Alas: Vapor D = true D Supreme D = Vapor E Nexus D = Vapor EE Therefore, your EE Vapor is about “one width” wider than your D width supreme in true last terms.
  16. Nexus not being a performance skate is nonsense. The top of the line boot in all three lines are essentially on the same level in terms of performance. Key/fundamental difference is fit.
  17. Is the base price the same regardless of model? Or is the 70k still cheaper?
  18. Knees seem fine to me- I’ve been wearing this shape of shinpad going all the way back to the Jofa 8040. The only time I’ve ever run into knee issues is when I don’t strap+clear tape securely enough and my shins end up sliding down or twisting. This can be attributed to user error and not the fault of the pad design. Weight difference between the UT and ST is immaterial. Dropping down to the 7092 I’ve definitely noticed a difference.
  19. They play very similar to me, difference being that I think the straps on the newer model are significantly more comfortable. That said, I ended up ditching the ST for the 7092 to save a bit of weight while keeping the same fit and base features and couldn’t be happier.
  20. It will be (and remain) a niche product unless it ships attached to a flagship Bauer or CCM skate. The average player doesn’t change their holder. Remember that us nerds/gearheads are a very very very small percentage of the market.
  21. The top one is a Drury/P91A.
  22. Just get whatever fits the best. The IMS/Reakt shell is light enough for half the NHL so it’s probably light enough for you. If you can wait a few weeks the Reakt 95 looks like an IMS 9.0 on steroids.
  23. Has anything been done to explicitly address the heat/ventilation issues on the Covert gloves? The previous model would have been OK to use as a hand warmer outside during the Boston winter.
  24. The OG Jetspeed is still fairly easy to acquire via EBay and old LHS stock. You’ll find a pair if you dig around.
  25. The day my 16 year old self walked out of my then-LHS with three YP 100 silver OG Synergy’s was one of the best days of my gear-whoring career.
