  1. Mission Pitch circa 2004ish
  2. Glad the EQMs like it - but again, there’s no chance that thing gets installed on Bauer and CCMs at scale.
  3. Unless they’re being proactively mounted on Bauer and CCM skates at scale my guess is that they’ll be as much of a game changer as the skates themselves. You’re talking about stubborn creatures of habit that have had the word tuuk stamped on their holders for anywhere from 15 to 30+ years.
  4. I didn’t like it - felt like/looked like I was playing with a shovel.
  5. Will this finally expose the fact that Little Timmy’s Kane curve isn’t actually a Kane curve? Or will people order a Kane expecting a P88 and get a Shananan delivered to their door? Much suspense! Also - the Pastrnak sticks I’ve had in the past have just been stock P28s. Having that, P28, P28M, and Kucherov’s Fisher Pro seems a bit excessive.
  6. Fisher pro - it’s really close to a P28.
  7. Maybe they just figured they’d send you an average lie of 5.5 with that second order. I’ll be here all day 😝
  8. My Bauer APX2 customs are flawless in terms of construction, performance, and aesthetics. And remain so 5 years later aside from normal wear and tear from puck marks et al. This isn’t an optimizer where you have to compromise on one dimension in order to nail the others. True just doesn’t have their sh*t together when it comes to QC on their finishes, end of story. Every other pair I’ve seen would have been sold as a deeply discounted cosmetic blem at a big box retailer if it were Bauer/CCM/Graf/Easton.
  9. P08 or Oshie pro is what you’re looking for. The lie and blade shape on the other blades mentioned in this thread aren’t anything like a P28. True TC3 might be another option.
  10. I guess that thread is pretty polarizing - reading it makes me want to quit hockey/MSH altogether. 🤣
  11. Exciting: Finding Eagle/Warrior/MIA/TPS gloves from the mid to late 2000s, or heel curve sticks that aren’t made anymore. Not exciting: The latest iteration of a P92 stick with a new paint job and gimmick taper.
  12. I haven’t had any issues with Edge holders in 5 years. We really need to relax with the “one bad experience = everyone must have had a bad experience” mentality on this board. It leads to a lot of bad information.
  13. Does True sell insoles separately? I’ve finally joined the cult and need an extra set. Or anyone have any extra pair for a 7ish boot?
  14. JR- Have you thought about leveraging data aggregation tools for some of the metadata fields available in our member profiles? Of course the limitation here is that people would be required to keep their profiles up to date and accurate- but it would be cool to see what % of active MSH is using brand X or brand Y in different categories, then also by model, curve, flex, etc. - with history retention. I could see this helping in that: 1. Members can identify a critical mass of people who have used a certain product if they want to pick their brain(s). 2. It could help identify sub-communities of sorts, i.e., who is still a member of the Drury/heel curve cult (lol). 3. Though a small sample, manufacturers would also be able to get a pulse on what gearheads are currently leaning towards. Happy to flesh out in more detail over PM/chat.
  15. If people actually care about stats, wins, and losses in your beer league you’re in the wrong league or need to adjust your mindset. Play hard, don’t be an asshole, win or lose, have a few cold ones, then go to work the next day. Some people go to Barry’s Boot Camp or whatever the workout of the month is- we have the best sport in the world (physically and socially) to get our exercise. Try enjoying it for what it is and don’t take it for granted!
  16. Measures 63 inches up against a wall. Rare P89 curve (Darby/Warrior Vanek), grip with tactile corners. In great shape with a few nicks and scratches here and there and minor chipping on the toe. Blade is rock solid. Asking $45 shipped within the US OBO
  17. P28 sucked for me coming from Drury/P106. I can’t stand anything with a huge toe hook as I use my backhand all the time and prefer that extra real estate at the end of the blade. Just keep an eye out on ProStockHockey, eBay, or sideline. They literally pop up all the time in those specs. https://www.prostockhockey.com/hockey-sticks/player-sticks/right-joe-pavelski-dynasty-hd1-dressed-as-covert-qrl-75-flex-stick-4/ https://www.prostockhockey.com/hockey-sticks/player-sticks/right-joe-pavelski-dynasty-hd1-dressed-as-covert-qrl-85-flex-stick-5/ https://www.prostockhockey.com/hockey-sticks/player-sticks/right-team-stock-rbz-stage-2-85-flex-stick-3/ https://sidelineswap.com/gear/hockey/sticks/481956-ccm-new-ribcor-trigger2-pmt-stick-right-80-ncaa-return
  18. Sticking foam in the toe cap to try to make the skate “fit” is one of the more hilarious things I’ve read recently.
  19. Check prostockhockey.com, eBay, or sidelineswap. Tons of P15s floating around there. The game has become very cold for us heel curve guys.
  20. Drury won’t be as deep a curve as BL mentioned above. Lidstrom and P15 will have a deeper pocket like the old Fischer. It doesnt have to be pro stock- at retail the P15 Jones or P15 Galchenyuk would work if you can find them.
  21. IIRC it’s a deep heel with a round toe. You probably won’t find a clone these days. CCM P15 pro stock is probably your best bet, or Bauer P02/Lidstrom if you’re ok with a square toe.
  22. Looks awesome- nice “bling” as well. 😃
  23. Coveted and rare among a few MSH gearheads doesn’t really mean anything to most shops. Makos didn’t exactly “fly off the shelves” when they were a current retail model.
