It's nearly impossible to tell based on the eye test. I'm pretty sure Modano used something above 1". I don't know many people (in recent memory) who use something deeper than 1/2 voluntarily. With the taller holders/lifts making it easier to get close to the ice on turns I really don't see any reason for using a deep hollow, unless you skate on marble-esque ice. I've also seen most people be able to transition shallower and shallower over time. The one thing that always made me laugh was people claiming their sharpening was "too sharp" after getting a 3/8 and deeper sharpening as that was the "house" hollow, and then going and rubbing their steel on a piece of wood to "dull" the edges. Good times.

Maybe it depends on the size of the helmet. I like it, much improved from the concept 2 in terms of fog management
-
I was able to fit a concept 3 on a resistance by just turning the clips upside down...

Winning in 2016 requires playing the transition, speed, and skill game- why Kessel, TyJo, Ryan, Shattenkirk, and Faulk were left off the team for some of the dolts on the current roster makes no sense to me. Not to mention Tortorella's style and system is about 10 years obsolete. This one is on USA Hockey.

I was initially skeptical of this tournament but if that's the level of intensity were going to see on a game to game basis I'm suddenly interested. What I didn't like to see was Giroux, Seguin and Weber have near misses on injuries that could have put them out long term. I'm American for what it's worth.

Westside skate is where I get my skates sharpened in NYC. They've always been a Graf heavy shop- I wonder what the linkage is.

2016 CCM QuickLite Protective

For those who have seen the line, are the pants still relatively shorter like the RBZ/ U+ CL? CCMs medium has been ideal for me the last few seasons. -

Fit aside..I mean come on! -
I LOVED the Flyweights and Pureflys. Nice homage to when skates didn't double as ski boots and actually promoted using ankle strength to generate power.

Catalogue Review 2015 CCM Hockey Catalogue

I'm sure the build quality on the items is great, but... The Ultra Tack line looks nice, but if their objective was to get people shopping for TotalOne NXG/MX3 gear to accidentally buy their stuff, they've succeeded. It's also remarkable how similar the CCM 30K Glove looks to the APX2, right down to the identical striping scheme coming off the pinky. -
Catalogue Review 2015 Bauer Hockey Catalogue

The guy doesn't live on the forums, you asked him the question less than 24 hours ago. I can almost guarantee that there will be very specific instructions in the 1X box and separately sold Speedplate packaging on how to correctly bake them. -
From what I saw he was one of the few players in Edmonton actually working hard in both ends of the ice. As long as that organization keeps moving guys who are vocal about change and continues to coddle Hall et al they'll never win anything.

What an opportunity!

Bauer typically doesn't offer LE models to be made custom in St. Jerome so I doubt it. I personally think these look horrible and have always hated black tuuks, but that's just my opinion.

Nice skates but I've seen more quality issues on Graf than any other manufacturer in recent years. I don't think country of origin matters as much as you think. I'll stop there as the topic has been beaten to death in other threads.

Bumping an oldie here...can any of the custom gurus confirm that I'm reading this code correctly? These were just given to me by a buddy of mine: To me it reads as 7 1/4D, A heel...Not sure about the T7 (toecap size perhaps?) 41159 as the unique Bauer ID.

Does RBK/CCM still offer the AA heel at retail on any of their models? Didn't catch it in the catalog.

Thanks, looks like they are using the Franchise palm as opposed to the yellow Bonafide X palm, unless literally the only difference is the color.

Mars where did you pick those gloves up?

Agreed. I think these are technically YP19s, before Drury was a commercial pattern and a lot of guys were using the generic pro stock molds.

Picked these up this week and couldn't be more thrilled. 6x Foote Pro Stock Comp T-Flex Blades. Curve is a Drury clone. Nothing has ever come close to these in terms of puck feel for me. .

2013 Easton V-Series Catalogue
Cavs019 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2013 Product Catalogue Reviews
I'm not going to continue to derail the thread but the "proper" shot you describe has become pretty obsolete and is rarely used at the NHL level. Stamkos and Semin are really the only noteworthy guys that shoot that way and both use modified Sakics, not a heel curve. The blade opening up is more a function of poor shooting mechanics and/or the shaft torquing out on you (See: Inno Novius). Its pretty clear that the reason the toe is stiffer is to generate more pop off the area where Easton thinks you should be releasing the puck (ie, the sweet spot). Given that the sweet spot on a heel curve is on...the heel, this seems pointless to me. -

Cavs019 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2013 Product Catalogue Reviews
I was being sarcastic (hence the emoticon) as I shoot off the heel and have been using Drury/Lidstrom for 10 years. Assuming the tech actually does what its supposed to, why would having a stiffer toe mean anything to someone buying this stick in a Lidstrom/Getzlaf or Modano/Zetterberg/Camalleri?
