  1. While it's basically impossible to get full consensus on jersey nuances- 90s Canucks is the perfect execution of that color palette. They should have just stole those with a grey base instead of black and been done with it.
  2. Mostly tacks and HG55 (CL500) from what I've seen.
  3. Any word on how the QLT line has been performing at retail in terms of sales? Among MSH gearheads and the like it seems like this line is a massive disappointment relative to the beloved RBZ/CL offerings. NHL adoption seems pretty low/non-existent as well as most pros are still in CL/RBZ shoulders and HP45/UCLP pants. I'd be curious to know if this has translated broadly at retail to the average consumer. I'm about ready to stop my search for RBZ pants and shins with hopes that the next refresh of this line is worth looking into.
  4. I'd gladly pay $299 for one of these in place of the myriad of crap that is out today at retail.
  5. 'Tis a regular.
  6. Hole in the wall LHS = the best
  7. The 710 is superior to the top of the line resistance in pretty much every aspect so I assume this will be confusing as all hell optically to the uniformed consumer.
  8. I didn't pick up the 310 but I'd imagine they are similar. I've never really paid attention to helmet weight as fit is all I really care about.
  9. The 710 is worlds more comfortable than the resistance. The softer pods feel great. Hard to beat at $160 if it fits your melon properly.
  10. Not sure if we're able to discuss these yet since I believe the official launch is this Friday. I'll defer to JR and Co for signoff.
  11. Does base offer a RH clone of the Warrior Pavelski/Wiz W12?
  12. I'd love for these to work for me. I'm in an APX 2 C/AAA width but prefer a softer boot. They'll probably be too wide but I'll definitely give them a try on at minimum.
  13. They are pro stock but retail Trigger construction. 80 Flex Drury clones.
  14. Are you speaking from experience or just speculating? There have been plenty of guys on the board over the years who have worked with NHL players that would disagree with you.
  15. It's nearly impossible to tell based on the eye test. I'm pretty sure Modano used something above 1". I don't know many people (in recent memory) who use something deeper than 1/2 voluntarily. With the taller holders/lifts making it easier to get close to the ice on turns I really don't see any reason for using a deep hollow, unless you skate on marble-esque ice. I've also seen most people be able to transition shallower and shallower over time. The one thing that always made me laugh was people claiming their sharpening was "too sharp" after getting a 3/8 and deeper sharpening as that was the "house" hollow, and then going and rubbing their steel on a piece of wood to "dull" the edges. Good times.
  16. Not to deviate from the primary point of this thread, but my god those are beautiful in tech mesh...the blue trim and black tongue screams Bauer Comp:
  17. Maybe it depends on the size of the helmet. I like it, much improved from the concept 2 in terms of fog management
  18. I was able to fit a concept 3 on a resistance by just turning the clips upside down...
  19. Winning in 2016 requires playing the transition, speed, and skill game- why Kessel, TyJo, Ryan, Shattenkirk, and Faulk were left off the team for some of the dolts on the current roster makes no sense to me. Not to mention Tortorella's style and system is about 10 years obsolete. This one is on USA Hockey.
  20. I was initially skeptical of this tournament but if that's the level of intensity were going to see on a game to game basis I'm suddenly interested. What I didn't like to see was Giroux, Seguin and Weber have near misses on injuries that could have put them out long term. I'm American for what it's worth.
  21. Westside skate is where I get my skates sharpened in NYC. They've always been a Graf heavy shop- I wonder what the linkage is.
  22. For those who have seen the line, are the pants still relatively shorter like the RBZ/ U+ CL? CCMs medium has been ideal for me the last few seasons.
  23. I LOVED the Flyweights and Pureflys. Nice homage to when skates didn't double as ski boots and actually promoted using ankle strength to generate power.
