Ever have one of those days, that turns into one of those weeks, that turns into one of those months? I'm hoping my luck changes soon, I can't take much more of this.
-
Generally, it will just take a bunch of extra passes.

First career hat trick? Missed the last one, but the first two were the result of hard work. Glad to see he is still busting his ass and setting a good example. I checked out the line on my fantasy team and he had 3 out of 4 goals, but not the game winner.

Every travel hockey team thinks they get screwed at home by the refs. Just like every travel hockey team thinks they get screwed on the road by the refs.

Box seats for BC at Penn State.

Congrats, having a happy "customer" always makes you feel good about your work. I was having trouble with my machine the other day and hand honed 6 pair of skates for guys on the team that gave me their skates. The funny thing is that most of them never would have known that I didn't use the machine. Then again, I did use three different stones, including a knife sharpening block, and most of them did end up with pretty nice edges.

You are incorrect, 100/50 is considered similar to 1/2". Please see this chart http://www.blackstonesport.com/FBV_Comparison_Chart.pdf I do think you are correct in suggesting 95/75, though. Most of the guys on my team came from 1/2" and all but one prefers 95/75 to 1/2"

As far as Blackstone goes, you have to go above the X series to get a machine where a shaping system is available. You could always do the old fashioned method, measuring and marking to get the points for manually profiling. If you aren't doing it commercially, it just makes more sense to send the steel off a couple times a year to be profiled by someone else.

The will always be some "lost" sales opportunities for people that can't wait or find one on closeout, but it's a much "safer" method of doing business.
-
It's not so bad if they are doing it because there wasn't anyone more qualified available. When those people think they are great coaches and prevent more knowledgeable people from getting involved, that's a different story.
-
No, that's not bad business or ridiculous at all. In fact, it's the exact opposite. The day that the Mako 2 becomes available, they can't sell the original at a profit. Every manufacturer in the industry tries to sell through their product before the replacement hits the market. To do otherwise would guarantee a money losing operation.

I speak from experience on this one: Do not drink when you are down if you have issues with depression.

Not much has gone well for me lately, it's going to be great when this run of bad luck is over.

Oilers picked up Hendricks, having a guy like that should help David and the rest of the team. Any time you can add more leadership, it's a good thing.

Two more weeks on the shelf, head injuries suck

As I have said a number of times, a lot of my guys love the 95/75 and they all came from 1/2" ROH.
-
Don't worry, Chippa will still find a way to argue over it. ;)

Upright is ok but the guys that bend forward at the waist a lot have trouble because the same posture will put their shoulders out past their toes and take them off balance.

I left my X02 in the case for a while but I ended up collecting too much dirt and dust in the case. Now, it just sits on a bench that I built. It isn't mounted, but if I was going to do it, I would use some carriage bolts through the surface of the bench.

Damn, when she gets out of jail ask if she wants another econoline conversion. I think I'm going to sell the one I bought for the hockey tournament last year. Glad to hear that you are well, though.
-
As I understand it, you can only order the X02. I don't think there is a version of the X01 that will run on 220.

A friend of mine used to leave his gear in the back of his truck. One game, he pulled out his hockey jock and it was frozen solid, so he decided to thaw it out with the electric hand dryer in the men's room. I don't think I'll ever forget that smell.

From what I recall, the X/50 is supposed to be roughly equal to 2.5" glide. the 100/50 is 1/2 to 9/16 and the 95/50 is closer to 7/8 according to the chart. I haven't used anything other than the bat gauge in years. I can make it work and I'm too cheap to buy a different model.
-
When JR and I were at the Hockey Show in Toronto something like 8 years ago, the wind chill was -40. Fun fact, it doesn't matter if it's F or C at that point, same temp.
-
The Bat Gauge is ok, there are a number of other devices that work as well, or better. Opinions tend to vary on the different devices.
