His wood blades were a little different, but similar to the Drury. I can see how he would have been able to move right into it without any real issues.
-
I would suggest 95/75 100/75 would be a very big jump.

Every guitar player needs a goldtop, the R7s are nice . Congrats/ I just got a box that does pitch correction and vocal effects. Some of the practice features are going to help me out quite a bit.

2013 Easton V-Series Catalogue
Chadd replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2013 Product Catalogue Reviews
I agree that there is more than one way to shoot and you should learn more than one if you want to be a complete player. I disagree with a deep pocket to carry the puck being a "different skill"; It's certainly a lot easier to carry the puck with a deep curve, but that isn't really a "skill". Learning how to make or catch passes on the backhand while using a big hook is what really takes skill. Doing that on a flatter blade is a lot easier. -
I usually dress the wheel for every because I use the fine shine oil skate but it doesn't take much off the wheel at all. I've done well over a hundred pair on one wheel.

Edge height, taller edge will equal more bite if the first number is the same.

90/75 is a big jump, closer to 5/8. 95/75 is very popular among my guys, only one is on 100/50 and only a couple are on 90/75, including me.

I have the perfect jersey to go with those.
-
Wow, I've blocked some decent shots in mine, but nothing like that.

Handzus was only put on the second line because they didn't have anyone that could win faceoffs in that position. He is a third or fourth line guy that was playing out of position. As for Bickell, he wasn't all that physical over the course of the season. At least, not nearly as much as most people were expecting from him. It will be interesting to see if he is a late bloomer or a Dustin Penner.

At our shop the most common transaction was a sharpening and a roll or two of tape. For every 25 or so of those, we would sell a stick and for every 25 of those, we would sell a couple protective items.

Sprained my ankle at work last night and spent three hours at the doctor today. Just faxed the paperwork to my boss, I wonder who checks the fax on the weekends.

Chicago has showed that you don't have to play an overly physical game to win.

Nice assessment, I think Paajarvi is better suited to being a third line, checking forward with skill and David is better suited to being a top six winger.
-
Wow, this has the potential to be huge for Edmonton and a great opportunity for David. He will be one of the older, and more experienced, forwards on the roster. There are also some very skilled centers that can get him the puck, something he didn't always have on his line in St Louis. I also expect the Oilers to put him in an offensive role from day one and not expect him to be a checker as much as a scorer.

That is really strange, I've been really impressed by the steel on mine. If you use 280s I can send you some of mine to see if you just got a bad pair.
-
congrats, just remember that no woman is sane in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding. She should return to normal afterwards.

The old design was really nice, I still have a "Christian" branded pair. I haven't tried the newer style yet.

The sneakers I'm wearing now are 4E and I have no problems with the EE Mako. I could barely (and painfully) put my foot into the boot prior to baking. After baking, they fit like a glove. Not much of a difference from what I see. Hell, most of the "unbaked" skates I see advertised show visible signs of use.

Are you looking for something that is available on the X series, or just in general?
-
I've said this a few times, almost of the guys I sharpen came from 1/2" and most thought that 100/50 didn't have enough bite. One stuck with 100/50 and everyone else went to 95/75. 100/75 has a lot of bite, way too much for all of my guys.

I don't believe the person that responded is willing to tarnish his reputation over something like a ship date. Delivering this coming week should mean it is already on the trucks.
-
I contacted Easton for an update and the steel is "delivering this coming week". Everything below this line is personal opinion and not the result of any comments from anyone at Easton. As for the comparison to Bauer and their new holder/steel, I think it's an apple/orange type of situation. A big part of Bauer's new holder is that they want people to buy more replacement steel. That's obviously not the case with Easton and their new holder. Ideally, they would have had the steel ready to go when the skates shipped, but I think it was more important to get the skate to market than to hold it for replacement steel. Bear in mind that 99% (or more) or the people that bought the skates wouldn't have any need for replacement steel prior to it shipping. There is always the exception to the rule and more often than not, those exceptions happen to be members here. It's something of a point of pride with us.

For anyone with volume issues, yes.
