I've tried but it doesn't work well without refrigeration, especially coming into summer. I have tried that, but it doesn't really work well. I can actually be fired for eating.
-
That's the biggest thing for me. Unfortunately, with my schedule, I often have 10+ hours between meals and the times change from day to day. Hopefully I can find a normal 9-5 type gig again in the near future.

Go with what fits your foot, I was simply comparing his comments on them being perfect yet a 1/4" too big.
-
1/4" is at least a half size and more likely a full size. It doesn't sound perfect.

I don't know about the ankle but I took one right in the arch last week. It stung, but no pain or issues come morning. No problems for me at all so far. I've been very impressed with the fit and feel after baking.
-
Not that I noticed. Usually that's a sign of steel being loose, either the screws or in the holder itself. that's a good way to fix either potential cause of noise.

Just got home from playing 4 tournament games in 48 hours or so in my Makos and am absolutely loving them. I will update my review tonight or tomorrow with more in dept information but when sharpening these skates you absolutely need to use more passes or pressure.
-
We had a similar problem in our tournament this weekend. One of the guys was running around hitting guys hard in the game this morning.
-
Played a tournament in Niagara Falls with a great group of guys, won a couple, lost a couple, came home with a medal and a whole new bundle of stories.

Frankly, I don't know how people can't feel a difference with FBV. I was convinced that it was all marketing and not going to be useful, I was wrong. It took all of three strides to be convinced and I am not the worlds greatest skater, as anyone who has seen me skate will be happy to confirm.

It wouldn't surprise me if ovens were somewhat inconsistent.

For goalies, asymmetrical hollow

When we talked to him in Vegas he indicated that a day was overkill but "hours" was still recommended and going right out on the ice after baking was not.
-
I would wait significantly longer than that before skating in them. It doesn't make sense to risk ruining an $800 pair of skates just because you're in a hurry.
-
That's plenty of time. I baked my replacements while I was getting dressed for my game last night and the guy in the shop was trying to convince me not to wear them for the game. I didn't bother sharpening them, so there was no chance of it.
-
They don't have a ton of volume, but it hasn't been a problem for me yet.
-
Cole was taking multiple pairs of skates/steel to the shop too, not just his own. The other thing is that FBV requires a little more accuracy from the sharpener and there are a few NHL EQ guys that are not good at all in that regard.
-
Once you bake them, they feel completely different.
-
Not to mention that the flexible tendon guard allows you to get more drive off the toe at the end of the stride.
-
My fall-winter season ended a couple weeks ago, Spring season starts next week. I may get on the ice Monday night if I don't get called into work.
-
The side panels are quite stiff, they just allow for more forward flex than most other top end skates. They are very stiff laterally.
-
Got my work schedule swapped around and everything is lined up for the tournament next month.
-
Great news man, glad to hear it.
-
we're all pulling for him/you. We managed to suffer through a bottle of wine and Italian dinner on the beach after playing with the Flamingos.

Broken plane, not going to get home today. Hard to complain about an extra day in Aruba though. Beautiful sunset earlier and 82 degrees right now.
