  1. Now we're splitting hairs on slowly and "very slow". There is a minimum speed where balance is impossible to maintain. Physics doesn't lie.
  2. Remember, crossovers can't be done at very slow speeds.
  3. These are always my favorite posts of this type of thread.
  4. I don't see anything suspendable there. Oleksiak had his gloves off before any punches were thrown. I think Wilson could have received an instigator penalty but other than that I think he is free and clear.
  5. There are a couple of reasons why the "rumour mill" type section wouldn't work. First, because then the site wouldn't be honoring manufacturers' wishes; and, second, because that is how a lot of misinformation gets out which then manufacturers and JR have to work that much harder to correct.
  6. I wonder if they're any worse than the entitled 20-something's in the 300k houses. If not for my father and nephew, I'd probably cut the cord on Facebook tomorrow.
  7. One of the most important things to have as a ref is situational and positional awareness. You should have a feel for where the play is heading and where players are, especially those near you. The last thing you want is somebody close behind you or to find yourself trapped in the play.
  8. They might view it as a good chance to get big league experience since there is no pressure to win on a last place team that is likely about to start their fire sale. These moves are typically made by basement teams closer to the end of the season as a chance to see where guys stand.
  9. Now that GM and coach have been scuttled, it is just a matter of time before the player sell-off and rebuild begins.
  10. Well, that didn't take long. https://www.tsn.ca/flyers-fire-head-coach-hakstol-1.1227745
  11. https://www.tsn.ca/flyers-dave-hakstol-is-our-coach-1.1227541 And the countdown is now on...........
  12. Sounds like that would be a one way ticket to Toe Pick City.
  13. Tinkering is what the folks on this site are known for. I explored varying radii and cuts and probably am an exception around these MSH in that I wound up back at the "Zwickers wing profile". The one I first tried at 13 when the guy who put me in Graf 501's in 1984 asked, "have you ever had a radius done before?" and recommended that one. I do wonder about the chicken/egg of it. Did that profile fit my skating or did my skating follow that profile but I do know after the tinkering that no other profile will make me skate my best. Point is, I'm probably one of a select few who were already on their optimum setup. Pretty much everyone on this site has a tale of how they had their "eureka" moment when they changed X in their setup. And no matter what, keep playing. We all have ups and downs in this game but there is no other sport and community like it.
  14. I might have left off the doors and just put a large fan in front. That said, nice effort there and nice organization
  15. You can have my Zwickers "wing radius" when you pry my skates off my cold dead feet.
  16. For those of us who have him as our home team announcer, not really a Sweet Spot kind of thing. 😞
  17. That is what late and blind side gets these days. It was a dirty play, imagine what Tom Wilson would have got.
  18. There are plenty of things the NHL does wrong but they honor and remember better than anyone else hands down.
  19. I could see where small Cox could be a problem.
  20. Coppers tend to have a knob instead of being flat and flush against the outsole.
  21. Barely any stores hold much in the way of goalie inventory. It is simply too expensive and low in demand to warrant a the outlay to carry a large inventory. Besides, most goalies prefer to order something in order to get the exact specs that they want.
  22. New boots may feel looser at the top eyelets since they haven't softened over time yet. If heel lock is good and you've got a good mold to your foot then this shouldn't be a problem for skating. It may just feel weird when standing/walking around in your skates as your old boots probably wrapped a lot more at the top eyelets.
  23. As someone on blood pressure meds as part of my stent placement, I'd recommend against unnecessary doses of Sudafed. Tell your buddy he can get a safer boost from a normal cup of coffee.
  24. P28 is the anti-Drury and a curve that I watch most beer leaguers struggle with. Pro stocks are always available in a Drury/YP/P91A.
