I hate the Johnny Tryhards.

When one of the teams that you're on has won only 2 games since February (with a couple of hard fought ties thrown in), the team you beat in those 2 games is no longer in the league, and the league still fights against moving your team down a division.

Stick length and lie should be a function of how you hold your hands during play and where you like to have the puck in relation to your body. There is no hard and fast rule for stick length such as to your nose without skates or the like. I prefer sticks on the shorter side and mine are nowhere close to my nose without skates. Figure out what you are comfortable with and then pick your length and lie from there.

Sorry to hear that. Back when my mom passed she had been declining for a while due to small strokes and dimentia. It was strange when the day actually came because we had basically slowly been grieving the loss of her for a couple of years as her mind was lost long before her body.

Dreger just mentioned the Bruins have interest in Kovalchuk. I really hope that doesn't happen.

One of the leagues I play in goes with 17 running periods with the last 2 minutes of the third stop time if the game is within 1 goal. Longer clock shifts can happen if there are a bunch of whistles.

A deal too good to be true usually is. People chasing savings on these cut rate sticks typically end up spending more and having much eorse experiences than if they just went eith close-out or price point respected manufacturers.

Carlson is most likely gone. He will be fetching huge money on the market as there are basically no other high end defensemen out there this year. There are trade rumors around some guys but nothing else in the free agent market to speak of. And I don't find the past two months to be a waste of time. There were some great series and performances. The only disappointment for me is that the playoffs are over and it is 4 months until puck drop.

I had said back in the second round that I was surprised the Vegas defense hadn't wilted......well, they've started making some costly mistakes and their top scorers are being shut down by the Caps. Maybe the glass slipper doesn't fit after all.

Well, they played like dogshit against Boston in game 1, too.

They offered Lundqvist the chance to be moved and he opted to stay and be part of the rebuild.

Meaning if a team is going into a reload/rebuild situation then there are much better options. Better to bring in a character guy/mentor than a prima donna.

Kopitar would be too busy covering up for Kovalchuk's horrible defensive game to be able to do anything offensively. Dollars to donuts, he doesn't last the entire season with whatever NHL team is dumb enough to sign him.

Means just as little to short-term future.
