  1. Based on his limited sample at the end of the season, I think Donato could very easily slot in on that second line.
  2. Agreed. As JH said above, it is still a possibility that Krug could be flipped for a forward.
  3. Clearly there is a personal side to why he is shifting to a diminished role with the Lightning.
  4. He has apparently pledged to finish out the tenure of his contract as a "special advisor" to the Lightning. It doesn't take a conspiracy to imagine him taking on a role with the Red Wings once his contract with the Lightning expires. I'm sure he'd like a hand in returning his old team back to its former glory.
  5. My eyes flew right past that 4th round pick. It seems like a lot for the Rangers to give up for a number 5/6 guy. They do have an interesting stable on the blueline as it stands so it wouldn't surprise me to see one of Krug or Grzelyk get moved. Obviously, Krug would bring the better return but looking at the guys they have it makes sense to move one of them. The pairings are a little muddled with McAvoy's great rookie campaign (I likened him to a young Drew Doughty early on) and the return of Carlo. Chara-McAvoy Carlo-Krug/Grzelyk Moore-Miller Zboril
  6. https://www.tsn.ca/rangers-acquire-d-mcquaid-from-bruins-1.1171096 The Bruins send McQuaid to the Rangers for Kampfer and a conditional 2019 7th round pick. The guess here is the conditional pick has to do with the number of games McQuaid suits up for given his recent injury history.
  7. I had read somewhere today that Pacioretty signing an extension with VGK was a condition of the trade.
  8. Which is humorous because the Easton Modano pattern that the PM9 is modeled after was itself modeled after the original Bauer Lindros pattern.
  9. F1 cars and drivers are covered in logos, as well as most of the "blank space" that they can find next to the track. The big soccer league jerseys all have logs on them and the fields is rimmed with the ever changing ad boards. Every league maximizes revenues wherever they can.
  10. We all know that is just a matter of time.
  11. The NHL out of the Olympics was due to the games not being able to be televised live due to the time difference and thus the league felt they would get zero boost from letting their players go. Was it all about money? Sure.
  12. I would think these are best used with the holes of the same name.
  13. They probably have to do something ever so slightly different from each other for pattent reasons.
  14. When one of the teams that you're on has won only 2 games since February (with a couple of hard fought ties thrown in), the team you beat in those 2 games is no longer in the league, and the league still fights against moving your team down a division.
  15. Is the name of the rink "Blue Oyster"?
  16. October is the best time to be in New England, hands down.
  17. A friend of mine was shipping out to Afghanistan and his boss at the time asked him why he would want to go. He told the boss, "I would rather get shot at every day for a year than work another day for you."
  18. Stick length and lie should be a function of how you hold your hands during play and where you like to have the puck in relation to your body. There is no hard and fast rule for stick length such as to your nose without skates or the like. I prefer sticks on the shorter side and mine are nowhere close to my nose without skates. Figure out what you are comfortable with and then pick your length and lie from there.
  19. I think the custom route for CCM and Bauer is more about inventory control than anything to do with manufacturing/tech advancements.
  20. Most towns have their hockey associations that are available for ages up to U18 and will play in the same few rinks for the league that they participate in playing against other towns.
  21. Owning a X60 and Tesla, is one of the license plates "PRTNSHS"?
  22. Davideo wrote: "Now kids are pushing to try to get on a junior C team, or having press releases for committing to a DIII school that is essentially a community college." So that rinky-dink university I attended that had DIII hockey at the time, Fairfield University, was essentially a community college? Thanks for the heads up.
  23. Check out the Ribcor 68K. The most recent Ribcor line is super-moldable and gives an extremely good skate for the price.
