    So, if I am reading this correctly. The price for a US buyer would be $900 USD. Based on today's exchange rate that translates to $1,148 CAD. Even if you factor in $50 CAD of free shipping and handling for US consumers the company is still making an additonal almost $200 CAD on a pair sold to a US buyer versus a Canadian buyer. Since they seem to spend most of their materials dollars in USD, it makes sense to keep the US price steady because then you are matching revenue and expense dollars. With the exchange rates as they are, the company is essentially losing money on CAD sales revenues since they are paying out USD. This is the dilemma of Canadian based NHL teams and a big reason why the last iteration of the Winnipeg and Quebec NHL teams moved south of the border.

    It might not be a bad idea to let her see the doctor once on her own before returning as a couple. It might be a little easier for her to have the conversation and discuss those things without knowing you are looking at her with the "Where have I heard this before?" face. In all fairness, you did swing your stick like an axe. I'm surprised he didn't immediately give you one across the hands or somewhere on the legs.

    Since you ask, twice in the last 2 weeks I have had guys look at my 1 1/2 year old RS skates and ask if I got new skates.

    Like I always say, it the t-shirt is that important to you then you can have it.

    Be up front with the guy, tell him exactly why you need to be sized and offer a little something for the effort. You're getting free skates so throwing the guy $30 or so to size you up is still a bargain.

    If he is pulling on really cold skates then his ankle can't settle into the padding when he first ties them. Then as his feet warm up the skate a little the padding will soften a little and it will feel looser.

    I wouldn't say that shims are the ideal solution. Speaking for myself, I prefer not to add extra material between my foot and the ice as it takes away some of that feel.
