  1. Heck, you can pop out a dent with a plunger.
  2. Look on the bright side, the pounds are just melting away.
  3. You do your best to stay the hell out of it. That is a lose-lose situation for you. Taking either side will result in resentment from whomever you didn't side with.
  4. The guy's job is simple; show up.
  5. The best picture from our wedding day was a full group picture with everyone who decided to join us. Just before the photo was taken someone made a joke at one end of the group and the picture got snapped as the laughter was making its way down the line. It captured what it is supposed to be all about, fun with those closest to you.
  6. We did our's on the beach during a cruise. We told everyone what we were going to do and if they wanted to come, great, if not then we understood. Our planning was a one page questionaire.
  7. Pitt will be a first round exit playing 5 d.
  8. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
  9. Or maybe teams are requesting for gloves better match as far as coloring designs work.
  10. They are updating one of the stick lines so that is probably why you are seeing the current offerings getting marked down.
  11. Judging by the stick release, I expect we'll see a CX lineup of new skate and gear as a holiday release.
  12. Not having money shouldn't be a reason for being isolated. It doesn't cost anything to have a buddy over to watch a game or movie or to just hang out and kill a night. Maybe catch some live music at a local coffee shop. You can have a night out for the price of a cup of joe and a scone. You could join a study group at school and/or find a support group to help deal with the depression or OCD. There are plenty of ways to be among people that won't cost anything.
  13. I always have a radius done on a new set of steel. Definitely not something I'd want to do myself.

  15. Oh, I agree that he definitely overreacted by going head high all night. I could see one or maybe two to get your attention but then it should have been over and done with.
  16. Not necessarily. They may feel that increasing the price in Canada would adversely impact demand. Essentially, they are taking a hit on Canadian sales while riding out the exchange variances.
  17. I guess you decided not to read the line of the VH post that stated all of their materials costs are in USD. Just because a company is based and has its operations in one country, that does not guarantee that all of their costs would be in that country's currency.
  18. You realize that you are complaining about how every company that does business on both sides of the border prices. You have to think of this as if they had 2 store fronts, one in the US and one in Canada. None of the other hockey companies fluctuate their prices to account for exchange rates. There is a reason that the major players put restrictions on sellers on either side of the border from making sales on the other.
  19. He probably viewed it as a reckless and perhaps even out of control action. These kind of things occur more often in the lower divisions of leagues.
  20. By charging Canadian buyers a fixed price in CAD, yes, that is what is happening. But it would be a tough business decison for them to increase their CAD prices because the incomes of Canadian buyers don't fluctuate with the exchange rate. If the CAD exchange drops then Canadian businesses don't increase what they pay employees to make up for it.
  21. So, if I am reading this correctly. The price for a US buyer would be $900 USD. Based on today's exchange rate that translates to $1,148 CAD. Even if you factor in $50 CAD of free shipping and handling for US consumers the company is still making an additonal almost $200 CAD on a pair sold to a US buyer versus a Canadian buyer. Since they seem to spend most of their materials dollars in USD, it makes sense to keep the US price steady because then you are matching revenue and expense dollars. With the exchange rates as they are, the company is essentially losing money on CAD sales revenues since they are paying out USD. This is the dilemma of Canadian based NHL teams and a big reason why the last iteration of the Winnipeg and Quebec NHL teams moved south of the border.
