From the size of that swing, I'm not sure staying up was an option.

I think you should still be covered ok having the Makos probably for another couple of years, at least until all of the spare parts and excess inventories are depleted. It isn't like they're tossing all the Mako stuff into the incinerator.
-
He really seems to be struggling to find where fits in a roster. He's got second line skill but coaches just keep bouncing him around the top 9. It has to be frustrating. It would be nice to see what he can do with some continuity.
-
The leagues I've done here, the captain would have heard from the league after having a couple of guys run off for abusing the refs. Also, getting a game misconduct for that offense comes with an automatic game or two. It helps when the league will back up the refs.

Need another new photo for the banner.

They can't say that you were out to get them if you set the ground rules before the game and let them know what the standard will be. If you don't tell the captain anything before the game and just call it at a stricter standard than the previous game then they will have a beef.
-
In that case, if you get that team again then grab the captain before the game and let him know that you shouldn't have to and will not tolerate the events of the last game again. That way when you sent the first guy off early in the game they'll know that you mean business and should learn their lesson. Sometimes as refs we can be our own worst enemies when we shrug off too much stuff early in a game. Set the standard early in the game and be consistent. If that doesn't work then they can enjoy the parade.
-
Since you say the team was all over you the whole game, it might be a good idea the next time to try and settle them down earlier. Pull their captain aside and let him know what's what in a calm and clear manner. Of course, there are some teams that will never settle and you just have to climb the ladder on one or two of them before they finally get the hint.

I must say that I'm intrigued by these, especially since I've got some extra space above my toes in my RS. Are they only available from the company or are there any LHS carrying these?
-
I disagree with the price factor. There are plenty of kids in top level Bauer and CCM skates. It took CCM a long time to get back to being considered a player again in the skate category and I think Easton is still trying to recover from some stumbles.
-
I'm wondering if they're just going to blow the whole thing up in Pittsburgh and start all over. I've always thought of Sullivan as a "young player" coach.
-
Fit and mobility are completely the forefront of the skate. The pitch scares off a lot of potential converts. If they offered a more traditional pitch then you'd see older beer leaguers buying into them in droves.
-
I think if Easton offered the Mako with the RB2 holder then there might be more folks in them. A lot of players don't want to switch to such an aggressive pitch.
-
Didn't care for a couple of outright flops he took against Boston last night. I thought he knocked that stuff off.

Score some muscle relaxants and inti-inflammatories from your PCP. Trust me, those do wonders and greatly shorten the episode.

Refs with attitudes give the rest a bad name.

I would do the same with guys who started stuff. They'd always have the first minor and whatever followed would be extra penalties. I found the best way to calm scrums was with a "next shot gets the extra". It works like a charm, especially after the first time some guy tests you on it.

Have you tried playing with the pitch of your steel? That may solve your issues. -

The 87A is a much flatter curve than the P92. -
As one lucky enough to come out on the other side alive, all I can say is pay attention to your bodies, fellas. Don't minimize potential symptoms of real trouble.

Or their parents actually parent them and then looking cool isn't the be-all-end-all of their existence.

That was my thinking as I recall she used to be prominently displayed on the Bauer site. And again, I think this was a very special case with a niche, micro manufacturer. -

My guess is it is more an example of one brand that isn't paying the license fee is specifically allowing their piece of gear to be modified to appear as a licensed brand. With VH being such a small niche product, they are probably a whole lot more amenable to the idea (probably thanks to a nice check from Bauer) than a bigger player who is paying to have their brand visible. Trust me, there is no way that you would see a Graf skate mocked up with Reebok (now CCM) logos while Graf is paying a license fee.
