2013 Easton V-Series Catalogue

If Easton follows their usual M.O. then the V9 will be the next iteration of their tapered shaft/blade setup. -

It will still keep the blade from opening up during shots. Proper shots still have the puck spin across the blade from mid/heel to toe. Guys known for "heavy shots" that still break thru goalies do so because they generate a lot of spin on the puck. -

Read it again, the Lidstrom is a heel-shooting pattern. Try a couple off of the toe and you'll see why. -
Heat the entire ankle area and then tie the skates making sure that the tightness is consisistent all the way up the eyelets. The problem you're most likely having is that the top eyelets are pulling tighter/closer together than those below it, causing the top of the boot to turn in and abrade your ankle.

It is similar down here with property taxes. That is the escrow amount I was referring to. Part of my "mortgage" payment each month includes an amount that is held in escrow to pay property taxes.
-
It sounds like the "advisor" dropped the ball when helping you plan. I put it in quotes because sometimes these advisors are just folks who took a night class and passed a simple exam. The only thing I can think of is that you didn't have that much in escrow with Bank X which would have been your's when breaking the mortgage and so when Bank Y was looking for the money that they required in escrow they just yanked it out of the excess of your loan since you weren't cutting a check.

2013 Easton Hockey Catalogue

The Iginla has been the E7. Are you saying that the E7 no longer exists going forward? If the closest thing will be the Landeskog clone then Easton will have lost me and my only option will be the Bauer P12 through MyBauer. -
I don't know that St. Louis got fleeced. Paajarvi is still young and on the rise and with Edmonton's track record the last few years, that second round pick could be a round 1 prospect for round 2 money. I think the deal was good for both teams and players.

He struggled last season and tumbled down the depth chart. Hopefully, he can rebound with the change of scenery.

Not if you do it like we did, our's was on the beach of Disney's island in the Bahamas during a 4 night cruise. The guest list was "this is what we're doing and we understand if you can't do it" to all friends and family. The wedding planning was filling out a questionaire.

That can be said for any skate line. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few models to come out that lean on the Mako design concepts but at various levels of stripped down materials/options.
-
Do they post who is on the team or just who showed up? My team has 10 paid roster spots but during the summer it is pretty rare that 10 guys show up.
-
To be fair to your old team, a full roster and a full squad every night are two very different things in summer hockey.

At my age and being down to once a week, it will be tough to justify that much money on a skate. Both of my last two pairs were top end bought on clearance. That said, the rep I skate with is dying to get me back into a CCM/Reebok skate and I may just bite the bullet since I saved so much on my last two pairs.
-
Not really a horrible position, he'll grab a piece of steel from a skate he has in stock and will then replace that piece when he gets stock of replacement steel.
-
As another point of sizing reference, I tried on some RBZ last night and it looks like a 7.5D would be my size. Previous skate sizes had me in an 8 Reebok 9K and an 8.5 in CCM Vector Pros.

I liked when I was reffing games for a team that despised me as a player but didn't have word one of complaint or grief when I did their games. Best ever was doing a midget select game that I wound up doing alone. People from both sides called the assigner to comment on how well the game was done, skated my ass off in that one and had a ball.

Instead of simply rolling out the top of the boot, I would recommend heating up the entire ankle portion of the boot and then tying the skate being sure to tie all of the upward eyelets to the same tightness. That is what I did with the first pair of Synergy skates that I got way back when. The problem was that the top eyelet was closing more than the couple below it and it was causing the top part of the boot to fold over and dig into my leg.
-
I always say medium or large when I go there, just to see their pretentious faces get all mad.
-
There are two possibilities; 1: you are good tippers, or, 2: he thinks your girlfriend is really hot.
-
Before switching out the holders, why don't you tinker with the profile of the steel or add lifts in the toes to counter the forward pitch. Both are cheaper options to new holders and steel.
-
I found out at the top of the page.
-
By all means, try before you tinker. As long as it still feels natural, go with it. If you have to think about what you're doing after more than a few sessions then a particular pitch/radius setup probably isn't working.
-
I've always been a big believer in tailoring the skate to your skating style and not the other way around.
-
If the back of the boot is digging into your leg then you are probably fighting the forward lean of the skate.
