  1. That will definitely make rehabilitation difficult but those folks can come up with all kinds of strange ways to get the heart going and back to normal. Good luck.
  2. Glad they caught it. Those procedures are fairly routine these days. At least it sounds like his cath lab experience went better than mine. Catheter turned a 99% blocked artery into 100%, heart stopped, got the paddles and a brand new shiny stent on the spot.
  3. Speaking as someone whose own mother went through strokes, familiarity is a very good thing. With the confusion and other issues that can come with strokes, seeing familiar faces can help put the patient's mind a little more at ease.
  4. Find a neighbor or friend to sit with the dog. I hate hospitals and seeing folks in distress as much as anyone but, its your mom, find a way. It will be better for all involved.
  5. I'm assuming that your mom is still hospitalized at the moment. Talking with your dad is great but spending time at the hospital will help you, as well. The nurses handling your mom can help you to understand what is happening, what to expect, etc.
  6. His foot may have settled back into the heel pocket after baking which made him think they got deeper.
  7. It isn't the reheating and remolding at issue, it is the skating in them right after heating and molding.
  8. It won't be hilarious for the person that buys them.
  9. My expectation is that you'll see the RBZ somewhere around the $750-800 range. I think the bigger question that Easton's pricing of the Mako brings about is, "what makes it $200 more than the RS?" or vice versa.
  10. Or Hockey Monkey made a mistake on their website.
  11. They were misleading since they weren't comparisons of the same size skates to the ones Chadd had weighed. That said, people should worry more about fit and performance than saving a couple of grams that they will never feel.
  12. Having extra security folks just to service first class passengers is not cost effective. There simply aren't enough first class passengers to justify it.
  13. I was always under the impression that standing in freshly baked skates was bad.
  14. The skates may have been available but without teams gathered it would have been very difficult for reps to get to players. Guys were scattered all over North America and the world. Had there been normal training camps then it would have been a lot easier for reps to get to players.
  15. Sounds like you just toss a little negative pitch on the CXN and, viola, you've got the feel of TUUK.
  16. You should be safe, apparently, I'm only a danger to myself these days.
  17. Screwing up my shoulder rolling over in bed. First, I'm biting the inside of my mouth all the time and now this. I guess sleeping and eating are just too complicated.
  18. Nothing new, linesmen have been tossing guys out of faceoffs the last 2-3 seasons like they're getting paid on volume.
  19. As long as you don't play like a jackass, nobody should chirp you for wearing full face protection.
  20. Last UNH/Merrimack game I went to I noticed 7-8 players in the RS.
  21. For a cut that only needed 3 stitches. You could have saved yourself $50-$65 and those 4 hours by going thru Urgent Care instead of the ER.
  22. I should be trying on a pair next week and possibly giving them a spin on the ice a week after that.
  23. Somebody complaining about starting a job in today's economy............huh.
