  1. I guess the question is how much sponsorship is going on. If the bar is paying for the jerseys then they're getting cheap advertising every game and really can't complain too much. If they're covering league costs, well, then you could have a complaint.
  2. Even worse if you're at the game. I remember when we had tickets for the Lowell AHL team and the same 2 yahoos in the first row of our section would pound the glass and the boards all the time.
  3. The sad thing, it isn't just in the newer cities.
  4. It is still better than the alternative.
  5. A bunch of the uptight rinks around here make you do it. I guess there was a rash of lockerroom key thefts.
  6. Hey, somebody has to keep track of which car keys are for which lockerroom key.
  7. There was one that beat your goalie between the legs from the boards? You may not have been helping but I think your team might have bigger problems.
  8. A "healthy scratch" for beer league? We joke around about that when we see a team show up with a ton of guys but I never thought it actually happened.
  9. I think he means that the key fob fell off of his keychain. One would notice a car starter dropping off of the engine and bouncing down the road.
  10. You just described the entire "Occupy" movement.
  11. Probably because people try to beat the yellow but then lock them up when they see they aren't going to make it before it turns red. On top of this, find a support group. It will be easier to continue on if you can communicate with folks who have been through similar circumstances and have come out on the other side.
  12. Tailgating is already iffy enough, there is no need to try and frighten the tailgater into a reaction and making an already iffy situation worse for everyone else on the road.
  13. You could always pull off to the side to let them by. I've actually done it before if someone behind seems a little too aggressive for my liking.
  14. The question still stands, if you don't like a person riding on your ass then why not just let them by rather than creating a potential accident? Why does the mentality have to be, "well this person on my tail really bothers me so I'll create a dangerous situation for them and the other cars around us. That will teach them." However, it doesn't. It is just a maneuver that is equally as reckless as them riding your ass. Just move over and let them be the next car up's problem.
  15. Can't stand when people do this. If you don't like someone riding close to you then either speed up or move over and let them by. Why create a potential accident?
  16. One piece of advice about saving for a house/condo, you need to save for more than just the downpayment, well, unless you like looking at bare walls and empty rooms.
  17. Forgive my ignorance but I had no idea there was so much involved with being a librarian besides an understanding of the Dewey Decimal system, bun hairdo, glasses, and the ability to "shhhhhh" at will.
  18. Just do this, whenever he leaves dirty stuff out and about then put it in his bedroom.
  19. I'd move on. If they're waiting this long to offer it to you then they believe there is someone (in their minds) who is a better fit out there.
  20. Take a course or two each semester at a local college until you can get back full time. It will keep you in the habit and give you some credits to build on.
  21. For most people, your future hinges on what you do in school, not necessarily on the grades but on the habits that you develop along the way and whether you develop your ability to be personally responsible. College isn't just about learning in classes but also making that transition from child to adult, as well as having a great 4 years that you definitely have to be sure you enjoy along the way.
  22. Boston is trying to get it banned in public parks and beaches but will still be allowed on the streets. [ Just a week after New York city councillors passed a bill to ban smoking in parks and beaches, Boston has followed suit. Two councillors from the city are considering a similar proposal that would see large parts of Boston go smoke free, but still permit people to smoke on pavements. 23. That is pretty bad. Who does he think he is protecting, the people who might be walking by a cigar bar at a moment when the door happens to be open? You can't have a cigar bar with closed doors and windows but you can puff away on a cigarette in my face at any street corner you like.
