The problem is that they didn't bury those scoring chances. That game should have been 4-0 by the time the Habs scored their first goal but it wasn't. Sure, the effort was nice but in the end a loss is still a loss and this one could be more of a setback than getting trounced 8-0 would have been.

I don't think it is a coaching issue as much as a player awareness issue. The defensemen have to know when the pass is there and when it isn't. The partner has to be vocal, the goalie has to be vocal, the center has to be vocal.

That has been a trend all season. Last year it was the spring board to the breakout where they would go D to D behind the net and then hit the center circling low by the net. How the B's defense aren't recongnizing that they are getting poached an awful lot this season is beyond me.

At this point, most of the squad is wondering if they're going to be shipped out so that isn't about to help things.

If the B's don't start playing much better then they won't get into playoff games without tickets.

I'd check the company's policy on long-term disability. This reeks of a litigation possibility to me. As for school, if you can't pass the honors classes then you shouldn't be taking them.

That's better than their season average, yet they were missing their triggerman on the top unit and their best player this season from the second unit. Coming into the game, Thomas had a 1.5 goals against over his previous six games, but there's no doubt he had a clunker Thursday. The bottom line is Chicago appears to be a superior team than the B's are at full strength, and are undoubtedly better than a hobbled B's team. There's no shame in being outplayed by a better team, yet the drunk skunks booed instead. That was a case where the numbers didn't tell the story. The other power plays were so atrocious that if the Blackhawks got another penalty the B's would have been wise to decline it. As for the 'Hawks being a better team, well, yeah but that doesn't excuse the lack of hustle and compete level that the Bruins showed. You can't lose pretty much every race for the puck or battle along the boards and just say, "well, gee, they're good".

Wilson should be ripping Burke for saddling him with that shit-show in TO. As for his comments to Kessel, as Wilson explained, that was more for the rest of the team that it was about calling Kessel out. Yes, Kessel needs to up his game but that goes for the whole squad, well, to at least play to the mediocre talent level that most of those forwards are capable.
