  1. The question still stands, if you don't like a person riding on your ass then why not just let them by rather than creating a potential accident? Why does the mentality have to be, "well this person on my tail really bothers me so I'll create a dangerous situation for them and the other cars around us. That will teach them." However, it doesn't. It is just a maneuver that is equally as reckless as them riding your ass. Just move over and let them be the next car up's problem.
  2. Can't stand when people do this. If you don't like someone riding close to you then either speed up or move over and let them by. Why create a potential accident?
  3. One piece of advice about saving for a house/condo, you need to save for more than just the downpayment, well, unless you like looking at bare walls and empty rooms.
  4. Forgive my ignorance but I had no idea there was so much involved with being a librarian besides an understanding of the Dewey Decimal system, bun hairdo, glasses, and the ability to "shhhhhh" at will.
  5. Just do this, whenever he leaves dirty stuff out and about then put it in his bedroom.
  6. I'd move on. If they're waiting this long to offer it to you then they believe there is someone (in their minds) who is a better fit out there.
  7. Take a course or two each semester at a local college until you can get back full time. It will keep you in the habit and give you some credits to build on.
  8. For most people, your future hinges on what you do in school, not necessarily on the grades but on the habits that you develop along the way and whether you develop your ability to be personally responsible. College isn't just about learning in classes but also making that transition from child to adult, as well as having a great 4 years that you definitely have to be sure you enjoy along the way.
  9. Boston is trying to get it banned in public parks and beaches but will still be allowed on the streets. [ Just a week after New York city councillors passed a bill to ban smoking in parks and beaches, Boston has followed suit. Two councillors from the city are considering a similar proposal that would see large parts of Boston go smoke free, but still permit people to smoke on pavements. 10. That is pretty bad. Who does he think he is protecting, the people who might be walking by a cigar bar at a moment when the door happens to be open? You can't have a cigar bar with closed doors and windows but you can puff away on a cigarette in my face at any street corner you like.
  11. This guy made his payments based on a settlement when his salary was $1.4 million dollars. Knowing a little about how child support works I know that she was getting more than fair amount of money to raise her child. Let's be honest, is this mother's interest really "protecting" her child? Would the kid not have a roof, clothes, and food if the amount didn't change? Yes, I'm pretty sure the kid would be just fine. Mom is just looking to profit off of her meal ticket........errrr.........daughter.
  12. Apparently, paying child support based off of a $1.4 million salary isn't enough for some women. Not sure if the woman or the guy who served the papers is the bigger dirtbag in this one. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/more_sports/red_sox_starter_served_papers_by_TO8JRw3O72G6YW3bd6Ge5J?utm_source=SFnewyorkpost&utm_medium=SFnewyorkpost#ixzz1YYVkrv6A
  13. If you want to get it back, just go down to your local McDonald's and watch the action behind the counter for a little while.
  14. If you're seriously considering this other chick then there is probably something not quite right at home that is making such an upheaval even a remote option to you. I'd take a closer look at the situation that you are already in with the Mrs. and consider a couple of things. First, what is making you look around with the idea of anything more than window shopping? Second, is it worth tossing away a marriage?
  15. The trick is to tackle one problem at a time. It is much easier to compartmentalize and go step by step than it is to take on everything and get overwhelmed.
  16. That might sound like a good idea but they might view that as fishy. In their heads they could be thinking, "Why doesn't he want me to call?"
  17. Verifying dates of employment is just providing a fact. They aren't opening themselves up to any kind of liability by simply saying, "Yes, Joe Smith worked here from January 5th to June 28th."
  18. Well, to have an employer refuse to verify that you worked there, that is going to sound awful sketchy to a potential new employer.
  19. The quick backhand/forehand shot scores everytime on a breakaway.
  20. Do you have anything that could be embarrassing on any kind of facebook or other page that could have been found? Companies check up on people online and that could explain the sudden change. The other answer is that they found someone that they liked even better for the position.
  21. Not for nothing but who has their friend call a girlfriend to tell her it is over and you'll be dropping her stuff off.
  22. Pretty good weekend, concert Saturday night and restaurant week/generous pour event at Capitol yesterday.
  23. How'd their guy make out on the Rx theft a month or two back? Not too bright, robs a store and takes a cab straight to the venue.
