I thought that with skates you had to go through your store.

Doing it at a store protects you should something not go right. If you do it at home and the skate fails, who can you go back to? As for folks' comments about Easton warranty service, I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

As long as the bigger holder fits on the boot, I don't see any issues.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say something that Reebok is working on and the "circles" are the pump and release. -
If it is long term, try to set it up so that you at least have a fridge where they put you up. Then you can at the least make lunches with wheat bread and thin & trim cold cuts and you can have healthier snacks for down time. Dining out is always a little tougher but words to avoid on menus are "fried", "crispy" and the like. Stick with sauteed (request olive oil instead of butter) or grilled. Skip fries and get rice for a side, wild rice or brown rice is even better. If there is a vegetable side, ask for it plain as most restaurants will steam a vegetable and then douse it with butter and/or a salty seasoning. Start every dining out meal with a salad with an oil based dressing (creamy dressings are a killer, even "lite" which usually means less fat but more salt/sugar for flavor). This will fill your stomach some and will keep you from killing the entire over-portion in one sitting. I could go on but I don't want to sound too preachy or know-it-all-ish. Having gone through a nutritionist during cardiac rehab, I learned a lot on how to eat better without suffering in the process.

Try to find a way to snack during those long stretches. Healthy nuts are a good option since they are filling and will give you some good fat and protein.

Better off making lifestyle changes than dieting. You'll see slower results but they will last and you won't be depriving yourself of things, which is why most folks put on more than they take off once the diet ends.

Good news.

I am a firm believer in profiling new steel to guarantee they are well matched, even if I'm not having the radius or pitch changed.
-
I think the rule of thumb with most skates is 24 hours so I think you could be fine cutting an hour or so.
-
That will definitely make rehabilitation difficult but those folks can come up with all kinds of strange ways to get the heart going and back to normal. Good luck.

Glad they caught it. Those procedures are fairly routine these days. At least it sounds like his cath lab experience went better than mine. Catheter turned a 99% blocked artery into 100%, heart stopped, got the paddles and a brand new shiny stent on the spot.

Speaking as someone whose own mother went through strokes, familiarity is a very good thing. With the confusion and other issues that can come with strokes, seeing familiar faces can help put the patient's mind a little more at ease.

Find a neighbor or friend to sit with the dog. I hate hospitals and seeing folks in distress as much as anyone but, its your mom, find a way. It will be better for all involved.
-
I'm assuming that your mom is still hospitalized at the moment. Talking with your dad is great but spending time at the hospital will help you, as well. The nurses handling your mom can help you to understand what is happening, what to expect, etc.

His foot may have settled back into the heel pocket after baking which made him think they got deeper.
-
It isn't the reheating and remolding at issue, it is the skating in them right after heating and molding.
-
It won't be hilarious for the person that buys them.

My expectation is that you'll see the RBZ somewhere around the $750-800 range. I think the bigger question that Easton's pricing of the Mako brings about is, "what makes it $200 more than the RS?" or vice versa.

2013 Easton Hockey Catalogue
chippa13 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2013 Product Catalogue Reviews
Or Hockey Monkey made a mistake on their website. -
They were misleading since they weren't comparisons of the same size skates to the ones Chadd had weighed. That said, people should worry more about fit and performance than saving a couple of grams that they will never feel.
-
Having extra security folks just to service first class passengers is not cost effective. There simply aren't enough first class passengers to justify it.

I was always under the impression that standing in freshly baked skates was bad.
