You're going to have different opinions on this. Without knowing whether they're were any changes made to the last (and I don't see why they would have) the fit should be relatively the same. I went down a half size when going from the MX3 to the 1S. I attributed this to the extremely thin MX3 tongue and the more traditional 52 ounce tongue on the 1S.

It's all about finding the most shallow hollow that allows you to control your edges and maximize glide. Using too deep a hollow requires more energy to push off, leading to quicker muscle fatigue.

If she is really a true EE fit I doubt you will find any wide TF9's at Pure Hockey.

3S Pro has first generation Curv and the Ultrasonic has second generation Curv (Carbon Curv). Carbon Curv is stiffer. The tongue on the Ultrasonic is much better than what was on the 2S Pro. Not as stiff and flexes nicely. The tongue on the 3S Pro is somewhat close to that of a traditional Supreme felt and IMO makes the 3S Pro close to the feel of what the 1S was. How long a skate lasts depends on several factors such as skaters weight, how often they skate, and how well they take care of their skates. My 2 year old 2S Pros were structurally just as stiff after 2 years of use skating 5 times/week. Disclaimer: I remove the footbeds and dry them on a boot dryer after every skate.

I've worn a Bauer face mask, Mission sports mask, and mission gaiter with a half shield. No issue with fogging but have the same condensation issue. My guess it's the result of breathing harder through the various fabrics. Condensation is less with the gaiter yet I feel safer with the masks.

Correct in that these are a C width with a AAA heel and not a D.

Probably not the reason, but one of my complaints about early composites was that they didn't feel all that well balanced.

I for one don't feel a "lack of smoothness" with either the Zuperior or Quad.

I just get a kick out of comments that it feels "smoother" than a quad.

Has anyone tried the CCM version for the visor?

Definitely looks better when viewing from a distance.

The only thing I found challenging with the Mission sport mask was recovery breathing on the bench post shift. I felt like I wasn't getting enough oxygen in the first minute or so after skating all out. Anyone have any comments on gaiter use?

Massachusetts Hockey updated their "acceptable" face covering for play policy today and states the Bauer splash guard as not meeting CDC guidelines: What is an approved face covering? *This guidance answer was modified as of 11/13/20 at 5 p.m.* While the Commonwealth appreciates the efforts made by various manufacturers to address the reduction of respiratory spray from players, further review of various products has led to clarified guidance indicating that the “plastic shield” style products do not comply with the CDC guidance for face coverings. As such, both the Bauer Concept 3 Splash Guard and the Tektor 1.0 and 2.0 shields are NOT able to be used in lieu of a face covering. I'd have to see it up close to see that both holders fully secure the runner. But IMO if you have an XS holder just get Step, and if the LS Edge just get Pulse TI.

Mission gaiters and sports mask work well while exercising and I have both. While the Bauer bubble plus splash guard along with the CCM masks are better than nothing, I personally would go gaiter/sports masks if some sort of mandate comes out where I normally play.

ProSharp has multiple templates for singles, combos, triples, quads, and now add the eclipse. Hard for the consumer to know what is right not to add that the small shop owner has to make a significant investment in templates. From the ProSharp website regarding the eclipse: "The focus is on providing the skater with the most DYNAMIC and SEAMLESS skating experience as possible. Combine maximum POWER with hyperlight AGILITY!" Hype, BS?

I have no issues. Retail 2S Pros were uncomfortable, more so on the outside forefoot area for a month or so when I first got them. Ultrasonics were comfortable from day one.

I have My Bauer Ultrasonics. Short version is that I have wide feet (EEE+ and EE+). You still have to work with someone knowledgeable that has fit stock to dial in the length related to the scan recommendation to determine how you want them to fit. Width is determined by the Bauer folks and in my case they nailed the fit.

I've now skated in my MyBauer Ultrasonics for 10-hours. No complaints and the break in was much easier than that for the 2S Pro (mostly because of the tongue). I feel that it only took a few skates to dial them in. Hard to compare them directly to the retail Ultrasonic since I opted for the Classic Felt tongue instead of the retail Reflex Pro tongue. Overall very happy with the fit and performance so far.

You have to look at specific regions though. Here in the Northeast the P92 and P88 continue to be most popular although the P28 is picking up steam. PM9 and P14 are gone from the Supreme line and I expect that will continue with Nexus and Vapor.
