    The X-02 will definitely be able to handle your volume on a hardware standpoint - it's a strong machine.

    The common offerings are: 90/50, 90/75, 100/50, 100/75. Get the 95 variants to bridge the gap (95/50. 95/75) I use Ruby myself. Eh, it all depends if you're sharpening kid's skates. For now, the U-12 is fine. Not really. I've had that machine for what, 10 years, without any problems to speak of. I'm going to most likely upgrade at some point to a full portable or a single head.

    Yeah, you know that's not directed at you. I'm just getting frustrated seeing people complain about services elsewhere, or buy steel elsewhere, when 100% of the profits of those services and steel sales support the site they're complaining on.

    Contact @customskateworks. It's difficult because it's not really a product you just slap onto your skates. You have to shape and heat and bevel edges and all that; I know Joe was working on having pre-cut pieces making it easier for retailers to work it (mind you the installers were always EQMs who have more tools/skillsets than your standard retail employee.) I was considering carrying it and offering it in the Pro Shop but I've come to the realization that people on here don't care about what I offer in there; they'd rather get a subpar job locally or elsewhere. Just being honest.

    Pro Helmet Decals started the trend. The Sabres wore them in the Winter Classic at CitiField vs NYR, and the Kings wore them last year.

    Correct. Try not to refer to Fire or Blademaster BFD as FBV - neither of those form dressings have a V shape as they are an evolution of a ROH.

    Saw the helmet; dismantled it even. When I was at Total Hockey we had a manager summit in 2015 in which all brands were present.

    I'm curious to see how similar this will be to Easton's MIPS helmet (which never saw retail; was set to release but they were sold to PSG and it got mothballed.) What I'm not looking forward to is how this helmet will be perceived as safer AND fit everyone at the same time when it's never been that way.

    There are limitations, yes. A Q0 becomes usable at 230mm. The zone that is profiled starts about 2-3" in from the toe and 2" in from the heel - roughly 65% of the overall runner. That's what is referred to as the working radius - you then blend the transition into the heel and toe by hand. If the radius spills out beyond that, then it's not effective. But to say that you can only use certain radii on certain sizing is not telling the whole story there.

    Both systems use bars. You find the center point of the steel you're putting the profile on. So when the profile is applied, both points match. A larger radius provides stability. A shorter radius provides maneuverability. You're looking for the optimal setting to you and your skating style.

    Once again, recommendations are just that - they're not absolutes.

    Perfect. So what you want to do is set some steel on there, clamp it, then carve a notch on top of the bolt. (I always have mine at 6 o'clock) So now, all you have to do is unclamp and slide the boot or steel out. You won't have to mess with that bolt at that point. Now if you have to do some goal skates, turn the bolt clockwise to accommodate the 4mm steel - chances are the notch will be either at 9 o'clock or 12 o'clock - then you'll be able to clamp. Adjust your holder, then reset it all when you're done.
