  1. I'm just saying at like 75 you're probably not gonna drop down to 4th right? so accelerating from 75 to 100+ is gonna have to be done in 5th gear so that combined with the all wheel drive taking up power, the wrx will accelerate slowly, correct? And even if you do drop to 4th, it still won't pick up that quick will it? At 5th, going that fast, it'll still accelerate, just not as fast as say 3rd, or 4th would at lower speeds. You can drop down to 4th, but it'll rev the engine really high, and shouldn't be done at 70+.
  2. I used to own an 03' WRX. Fun car, practicable, reliable, and phenomenal in winters. I loved it. Never driven an RSX...and like said before, two totally different cars. Any questions about the Subaru though, lemme know. well since they only have 5 gears and apparently the first 3 are wicked short, is it really slow on the highway? That statement makes zero sense. About the WRX or about how a transmission works on a basic level. I'm talking about higher speeds, since the first gears are so short, you can accelerate faster at lower speeds but you're not gonna use those gears once you're at highway speed so you're gonna have to use the 5th gear and acceleration will be slower? Am I wrong? I probably am I don't know. You could always drop it back down to 4th for a little extra 'umph' for passing on the freeway. At 60mph, dropping back to 4th will be around 4.000 RPM, and hopefully by the time you complete the pass, it'll be around 5,000RPM. At least that's the way it is with my car. Give or take a couple RPM's.
  3. They certainly feel like a true 13", but it could be a really snug 14" for all I know.
  4. Got them from a guy on Ebay who got them from EWH.
  5. Just got these in the mail yesterday: 13" Easton Luxury Edition Gloves It's a narrow fitting glove, but I have smaller hands than most people. Definitely excited to give these a go on the ice.

  7. That was me the with the 3 series and accord, not me with the mustang. I've decided on a 350z if I can find one though. MR2s must be pretty hard to find, I never see those around anymore. There are a TON of them out here.
  8. That's the way to do it man! Hockey, hockey, hockey. B)
  9. Those are very nice gloves, DarkStar.
  10. Just curious to hear from all the car guys on here. What do you guys think of this one: 1978 Cobra II Link: http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/1258179883.html Would this be a good project car for just under $1000? I normally do not like Cobra's or Mustangs, but this one has itself locked in my cross hairs for some odd reason, and I'm really considering pulling some strings so I can acquire it. The exterior seems to be in fabulous shape, and most of the problems seem to be engine related. Obviously the leopard covers and mats would have to go, but yeah... what's your opinion? Should I go after it? Thanks guys.
  11. I call second dibs. Not that Drew will ever get rid of them after he gets them, but still. B)
  12. Probably left behind on purpose, unfortunately. It gets used as a bottle opener when it's in my possession more than anything else.
  13. Def Leppard are from my hometown! Epic! Just went through my buddies music, found a few new ones. Since October Silverchair Beck Strata Thornley All That Remains
  14. '93, '94' or '95. Not really sure. Such a basic looking skate, yet sharp looking. What curve? Don't say modano or I may have to steal it. It's a pro stock, but it's very Modano-like.
  15. One of the best sticks Easton ever produced, IMO. The Pro Stocks were beasts. '93, '94' or '95. Not really sure. Such a basic looking skate, yet sharp looking.
  16. Finally home after a long day. Some guys CCM 652's. Real beauties, haha.
  17. You aren't that old. Thank you, JR, I am aware of my age. I guess what I mean is, it's cool to see all this really old gear, I just like seeing that type of stuff. It makes me really aware of how far hockey gears come technology wise.
  18. This guy just brought in a pair of CCM 652 Tacks to get sharpened for this 40 and over tournament we have going on out here. They're older than I am, it's freaking scary sometimes. I don't see these very often, if at all, so I took a cell phone picture, and I'll post it later tonight when I get home. The guys face when he was watching me take a picture of these ratty old skates was priceless.
  19. Really liking those TPS gloves Darshu. Really, really, really nice pair.
