she doesn't like to take pictures but I secretly keep trying to make her enjoy it, these took a bit of convincing and me nasically setting everything up and handing it to her telling her to take pictures (since I'm a photographer I have hardly any photos of me with our kids)... my goal is for us to be a husband and wife wedding photography team one day haha.

Me and the family went to a local roller hockey rink to play around last weekend, I gave my wife the camera so she could get some photos of us. I'm not much of a roller hockey guy, the skates I have had for ages (and I hate them, they don't fit right), but it was fun to skate around with the kids since they both really love playing. That Sedin curve looks real nice, reminds me of a Stall P91A but more closed and maybe a touch larger curve, I'd love a curve like that. Ebay 101... If you waited til the final minutes to place your bid you may have been able to get them for a lot less ;) I never place a bid with more than 5 minutes to go (usually try to wait til under 1 minute to be honest), especially when you think someone else is watching/bidding Unfortunately I tore my ACL a few weeks ago and am in the process of planning my next course of action, so that means no new gear for me for a while, I'm spending my money on camera gear and/or car parts for the time being (although I'm going to try to get to the Islanders sale to see what I can pick up, I'll make sure to report back if I do).

I'm very jealous Fletch, of all the gear and the fact that your hobby is turning into an opportunity to make some dough... congrats and good luck. I'm still pretty much a noob at the whole photography thing but have already spent a few grand on stuff, my fiancee hates it that I always choose the expensive hobbies. Do you have a flickr page? I have the same user name on flickr as on here if you want to check me out.

Very nice aperature on that zoom lens........what what is you minn F-stop at 200mm?? That will be your deciding factor for how good of a sports lens it will be. I think the 70-200 will have a f/2.8 all through it's zoom... my friend got a Sigma recently like that, 55-200 though I think, and it's amazing. Wish I could afford a sick lens like that. The 50mm shots don't look bad at all, must have been a chore though to get the right composition without being able to zoom at all.

ok found an oldie and scanned it in, it had to be fixed a little in Picassa b/c it was scratched up a bit. I'm guessing this is in 95, maybe 96... those were the skates I was talking about a page or two back that were posted, loved them. Also this was my huge equipment stage, those were louisville TPS shoulder pads, same as the Jones football style, and the pants were huge as well... oh well, you live you learn. I still miss those Vic 4050 sticks.

TBLFan... so are these better than the original Easton's? I remember the Easton's had some sort of large air pad on the backhand and were pretty tight, I never owned a pair (always wanted a pair) but a couple buddies of mine had them back in HS when they came out (I remember they took a couple seasons just to break in).
-
Very nice... how'd you manage that price?
-
^^^ holy cow, someone else with a last name just as long as mine  I feel for you with the shoulder to shoulder name, back in HS I was like that, luckily all the teams I've played on after that have been just #'s on the back. Thanks, I'll pass the comment along to her. Truth be told, she's not the greatest at taking pictures (out of about 20 shots those were the best), she was very hesitant about it but after I assured her that the lens would help her she gave it a shot (after seeing the pics she now says she liked it and wants to do it more often... no complaints here). She used my camera, a Nikon D40, with a 55-200mm zoom lens with auto focus and Vibration Reduction... the lens really makes the difference being able to zoom in from the stands and helping with her not so steady hands.

I think there's already a waiting list for them  you're the 2nd or 3rd guy who wants them... but I really like them so I'll hang on to them for a little while longer til they stop producing the goals for me.
-
Thanks :) I'm liking them a lot, real light and comfy but more protective than my other Graf G700's as far as the padding goes.

Finally got my fiancee to try to snap some shots last night, some came out ok... too bad I don't match at all, oh well. For the record, with the short bench we won 14-2 last night and I had 7 goals... must be the One95 stick, that thing truly is on fire.
-
Used them last night at a game at Superior, scored a goal and had a couple assists... looks like I'm keeping them :D
-
Well if I don't like them I'll keep you in mind :D Going to try them out tonight.
-
Got these in the mail today, supposedly they're Rangers pro-stock but there's no name anywhere on them so who knows. They've been used but are in pretty good shape, one hand has been re-palmed but feels like it wasn't used much after that (the other palm feels good still as well), and some of the lettering is cracking. For the price I paid I'm pretty psyched and those minor details aren't really an issue for me.

Nice... I've only seen the more popular 4 rolls (tacks?) and a couple other RBK labeled variations that were said to be Eagles or Warriors.
-
^^ nice additions. I've never seen Reeboks like that exactly, they're sweet, I wonder who really makes them.
-
Very nice. I have a black V08 I'm waiting to get a visor for, I originally wanted another oakley modified aviator like I have on my maroon V08 but I think I might try out an itech instead, that one looks really nice.
-
wow, how is that Kozlov curve legal? That thing is crazy.
-
x2 it's addition by subtraction, by losing the Nike logo it makes them so much more appealing (I personally never cared for anything made by Nike so maybe it's just me).

Awesome Homer pillow :D

Hah. My mom dug some photos out last night, and the first thing I thought was "oh man, I miss those skates so much." yea I remember back in the 90's I wanted a pair of those so bad, unfortunately I never got a pair :( now i want to look for some old shots back when I started playing and see what i can come up with

^^ Nice skates

I love them... I actually used the one w/ the Jagr blade the last game I played, still feels great. The other one has a slight scratch/gauge that looks like it may be a weak point, so it stays as a back-up back-up back-up.

I don't have much of a stick collection like soem of the guys here but I just got a couple new ones and figured I'd show them all off. My fiancee bought me a new Mission Titanium last week to replace one that had the blade split (haven't had a chance to tape it yet, I'm in between seasons now so I haven't played in a couple weeks), and the Bauer One95 just came today as the warranty replacement for the previously mentioned broken Mission stick. sticks are as follows: Bauer One95 87 flex Staal Mission Fuel Ti 75 flex Sundin Mission Titanium 85 flex Rafalski Easton Synergy SL 85 flex Forsberg 2 Easton Z-bubbles (circa 98/99?) both 85 flex, one with Koho Jagr pro stock blade, one with Sakic focus flex blade Easton S11 85 flex Heatley Bauer One50 87 flex P87 (i think)
