  1. they're listed in the catalog so i'd assume yes.
  2. not sure how long they were in for as i was chatting with the rep and trying on a pair of graf's too at the time. i wanna guess under 10 min or so though. they certainly weren't any more pliable than any other skate i've had heat molded before which is why i was suspecting they weren't in for long enough. as far as temperature, i really have no idea. that's the main reason i didn't pick them up on the spot because even though they felt pretty good even being inadequately heated, i was thining they should've been more pliable. that's the reason i came in here looking for advice before i went back. think i read these should be done 1 skate at a time for 15 min at a temp of 200F? thanks for the help!
  3. I was just wondering if anyone can comment on whether the M8's are supposed to have the same amount of thermoformability (is that a word?) as the Mako/Mako II's? The reason I ask is because when I tried them on the other day, they didn't seem all that supple, as everyone here has been commenting on, after the bake. Wondering if it was because the sales rep didn't put them in long enough or if they just aren't as moldable as the top tier skate. Thoughts?
  4. question for you mako owners. had a chance to try them on at the lhs the other day. the only reason i didn't walk out with them was my heels weren't quite as locked in as they are with my g35's. everywhere else, these skates fit my feet better than anything else i've tried on so far, including my current g35's which i've found to fit my foot the best to this point. my question is, hearing/reading how moldable these skates are, is it possible to "pinch" the heel area of the boot to get it just a hair more snug? it's really not off by much, but i'm hesitant to drop that kind of cash on something i'm not perfectly happy with, as it's already happened to me 3 times until i finally gave graf a chance.
  5. ribbed for his pleasure?
  6. any idea as to a release date for the g9035's ?
  7. interesting that the mako skate sizing starts at 4. didn't think i'd be able to try it out as the early reports seem to be that sizing(at least length wise) seems to be in line with supreme...in which i'm a 5.5.
  8. my memory's a bit fuzzy on those, but I remember wanting them badly as a kid. are they the ones with the tackified palms?
  9. any comments on how it compares flexwise to the TO? stiffer, whippier, similar?
  10. no, what he meant was they actually shorten/lengthen the finger padding itself, not just the palm material/gussets.
  11. iirc, you used the harrow pattern 11 in the past, correct? can you comment on how comparable(if at all) that is to the versteeg curve?
  12. i actually like the sound of that on the socks. out of curiosity, is the tron logo on the socks screen printed or embroidered?
  13. is it just me or have your shins been shortened? nice collection btw.
  14. thanks! gonna get it done this week.
  15. wow, great job. i gotta find out how you went about doing that as i've been considering doing the same with my tackla 8800's.
  16. i think the word i remember hearing from reps or JR, can't remember which, is "overbuilt". that's why roller boots also tend to be noticeably heavier than ice.
  17. although football gear can get expensive, the more expensive parts are typically provided by the team/school. so really the only things players have to pay for are gloves and cleats(a lot of high schools even take care of that too).
  18. +1 - Excellent to work with on an equipment sale

  19. nice. how do those redden's fit compared to your ppfi's?
  20. nice collection. how is the fit of those eastons compared to your ppfi's in terms of overall length and volume?
  21. ok, i can understand trying to downsize a bit by getting rid of one of the glove lines. but why not just get rid of the x72 altogether instead using the old x70 mold and calling that the x72? a lot of things didn't really make sense to me during that conversation, but i honestly didn't really care about the other stuff. all i really cared about was if the fit of the new x72 was different, and if so, was the old x72 mold still available through custom, which was answered to my satisfaction.
  22. spoke to an eagle rep as i've been considering getting custom x72's and was curious as to why the cuff on the new model looks different. the answer kinda didn't make sense in one way but made sense in another. they said they wanted to "downsize" their glove line and got rid of the x70 (but then why add like 4 new lines of gloves?). now the part that made sense was how she said the x70 was a very popular model so what they did this year is made this year's x72 to the x70 specs, which explains the different cuff. the good news for me was that you could still get last years x72 mold on custom orders, just that it won't come with the new quickdry liner. confusing.
