  1. How much do custom eagles... Or even warriors go for
  2. Also use these washers ... 1/2" size. I used these years ago bc I saw the had a rubber gasket. Now it looks like the Blackhawks trainer has em on all the players visors. https://www.amazon.com/Neoprene-Bonded-Sealing-Washers-Stainless/dp/B07WX7HNGD?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace&th=1&psc=1
  3. Well. It's not yesterday anymore 😊
  4. From an esthetics side of things they are totally 🤢. At least with the gloves you can get different colours and those are fine. I can't stand the red and neon yellow scheme. Also... 239 cdn price point for their 2x pro gloves... Jeez.
  5. Ur trues. I thought u said you didn't bake the pro stock ones you have.
  6. Go and bake them with the shrink wrap method. You're totally missing out!
  7. I think trues are able to fit ppl with foot shapes that arent "avg" to a degree. The moldability allows for a bit of flexibility in fit but obviously some people will just need custom boots. I fit into a supreme pretty well but there are some hot spots. Even with my one100 that I wore for 7-8 years, I had no pain skating, but when walking I had pinching above my ankle area. With my as1 it was super painful all over to break in. Once broken in they were ok but protection was non existent. I took light passes off the ankle that hurt like hell. I took a bomb from the pt off my trues and didn't miss a shift and I don't have the extra shot blockers. Vapor 2.9 I had to return. Overall fit felt ok but produced quite painful lacebite on the top of my forefoot from slight volume issues. Trues are the only skates I didn't have any pain or break in period out of box. Yes mine are customs but I'm sure I would fit fine into retails. You are right though. The as3 and the second from the top jetspeeds are also top or the line skates. They're essentially the previous years top skate. So if you look at it that way they're technically newer than trues which haven't changed tech wise except when they went to a diff carbon weave about 1.5 years ago. From my experience in terms of wrap and moldability. It's True (by a landslide), then CCM, and far down in third is Bauer. CCM gets soft really fast but I'm not sure if the materials are meant to get that soft since they recommend only to be baker for I think 3 mins. If done longer it does get pretty soft but since they recommend 3 mins, I'm sure it can't be good for the materials.
  8. Sizes are your normal half sizes. Widths are in regular and wide.
  9. Warrior imo is the stiffest of the ones you listed. CCM seems on par for their flex rating. True used to be on the whippy side but right now is about on par with their ax9 line. Bauer is a touch stiffer imo but they are rated at 77 flex and not 75.
  10. CCM is def longer than any other company right now. My trigger 4s I have to cut about 3 inches off whereas for true and Bauer it's about 2-2.5. I even saved the pieces I had to cut. If you don't believe me I'll post a picture up. I have my sticks all measure at 57.5" from heel to butt end. But yes, diff manufacturers do measure their sticks diff so 60" for one company won't be the same as another. Some measure the actual heel to the end, and some measure from the heel where it lays flat on the ground tot the end.
  11. I would assume they would fit at LEAST the same amount of people that fit into retail Bauer or ccm and then some, since they are way more thermoformable than CCM and Bauer. If you don't have issues fitting in retail skates it'll be pretty much the "feel" that will get you to say yes or no. True boots are extremely stiff, however, they still allow good forward flexion. and of course they are so comfy! Imo Bauer and CCM the stiffness of the boot is the same throughout the quarter package which for me feels like you still need to break them in even after baking. True skates require no break in time. Yes, you need to get used to how they feel in general vs CCM and Bauer but there is definitely no breaking in/ hot spot/ painful periods
  12. That's not what I would expect. I would just expect the trues to come with holder not attached but still include them since I'm paying for them.
  13. Weird and doesn't make sense. If you pay for the product full price you should get everything, is holder and steel but not mounted. They must have changed things since last year bc when I ordered mine I asked for the holders not to be mounted and the holes to be drilled for an 4.0 holders, and that's what I got. Holder and steel on the side not mounted, which I ended up selling on the side. If they won't include the shift holders and you're paying full price that's BS. It's actually less work for them mounting the holders on, yet they are charging you the same.
  14. Does this happen with all skates or are you completely new to skating. Have you try speed plates? They mould to your actual arches. Some people with really flat feet will find even stock arches on retail boots too much. I know a friend who gets arch pain from superfeet insoles. If you can't find relief from insoles, I suggest start strengthening your arches and using a golf ball to rolls your arches to get rid of any possible soft tissue adhesions (trigger points). You can YouTube how to strengthen your arch/ fix flat feet. Even if you don't have flat feet per se, there's no harm strengthening ur arches. Having strong arches is good for your overall posture, stability etc.
  15. Did u try the jetspeed skates? Maybe you should in a d and ee just to see. Also, did they have any left over stock of the 2s or 2s pro? Good thing about CCM is that they offer the 90 day satisfaction gaurantee. I'd be surprised if you got another pair of Bauer skates that the store would allow you to exchange it again if you weren't happy with the fit.
  16. I'm sold on CCM solely from using the trigger 4. My all time favorite stick in terms of low kick. I don't use anything but low kick sticks now. The last mid kick I liked was the original 1n. I'm curious to try the ft3 but not gonna try to fix what isn't broken.
  17. Can't really compare true to CCM or Bauer. The fit and feel is completely diff. I think most people will agree you either love true or you don't. I haven't met someone who was just meh about them.
  18. Shrink wrap method after a bake, like with trues. The problem with traditional baking is that the boot will relax from the heat and when tied up there still may be negative space. The shape of the boot will conform to the shape of your feet but may not eliminate the neg space. It's almost as if the boot has to be or feel too tight pre bake. And the baking process itself will make it fit snug and perfect. The shrink wrap method keeps the boot locked onto your foot as it cools
  19. If he recommended the 7.5 at first and you wanted 8 then that much me an issue. Honestly why don't you just try walking around in them in the socks you were baked in. Like I said, sock thickness makes a huge difference. Even the sock material does.
  20. Go for one more skate with the socks that you were baked with. Socks make a big diff. Trust me. When I wore socks that were slightly thinner it felt sloppy as hell. For example when I wear the UA over calf hockey socks and Bauer cut resistance it's perfect. When I tried to wear the true cut resistance it felt as if my skates were a full size off and heel lock was non existent. pS. I've been wearing size 7s for the last decade. From the Bauer one100 to the CCM as1 and even Bauer x2.9 I tried on fit the same lengthwise as my one100. As others mentioned baking and setting the heel properly makes a diff too. Also when u get into the hockey stance with knees and ankles flexed your toes will pull away from the end of the toe cap. If you get into the stance and it still rubs then it's too small.
  21. Pretty sure they are already available for customs. Wouldn't make sense that retail would be out and not custom. Usually it's the customs that come out before the retail versions. I've already seen pics on IG from local shops with as3 customs coming in as of two weeks ago.
  22. Thanks for the replies. I ended up ordering both a medium and small, and will return one of them. Good ol PayPal with return shipping reimbursement
  23. I'm looking a true new jetspeed girdle and I'm having issues with deciding on a size. I'm 5'10 and 165 lbs 32" waist 31 pant size. I currently Warrior qredge pants in a Small and they fit perfect. The issue is CCMs size chart shows a small as 5'4-5'7 and 28-32" waist. I know the height won't be too big of a deal since the CCM girdled length is adjustable. But not sure how the waist will be. CCM seems to have a smaller range between sizes. The Medium is 5'8-5'10 and waist size of 32-36. Most other brands, small is a waist size of 30-34 and and height up to 5'10. I'm leaning to the small, but I'd be right on the very end of the sizing in terms of waist size. My waist is actually the largest my waist has been in a while bc of covid as my pants size was 29-30 for the longest time. Medium I'm afraid if I lose a bit of weight around the waist that it will be too big. Basically just want some insight as to whether people who have used ccm pants or girdle systems can confirm whether they stayed with the same size as other brand pants or went up a size.
  24. I think the only reason jr goes up to 6.5 is bc Bauer now offers intermediate size pricing, which 6.5 falls under. They prob realize for the most part those sizes cater to youths that are still growing and they lose quite a large age group if they charge parents 1000+ for skates their kids are only going to wear a year max. This way it's easier to stomach spending 7-800 vs 1000. Just my guess.
  25. Never heard of the black label, but their standard black with the green core is garbage. The glue on the tape sticks onto the fabric that it's roller on and it's a complete mess. Their white I like a lot though, even moreso than Howie's.
