  1. Why don't u just try doing it yourself. Chances are bc of the long bake times , the adhesives get loose/ melt a bit. It happens. So it may not necessarily be a qc thing as pre bake it could've been stuck pretty good. Honestly I wouldn't bother paying someone to do it and just get some flexible adhesive and do it myself. Or even loctite gel super glue. I know true used to recommend using the loctite super glue for liner issues.
  2. Ya that's worse than I thought. The area on the upper cuff part. Is the stitching still in tact? If so you can just use loctite or similar product. Or even shoe glue. Something flexible is prob best. As for the rubber trim, looks like it wasn't laid properly and is almost lifting bc it should be stretched out more. Possibly Remove the tendon guard and shorten the strip and put the tendon guard back on... Which isn't as much work as it sounds. Interesting how it doesn't look like they used the bead of epoxy to seal the rubber and the carbon together.
  3. I never need to disinfect my stuff when I promptly air dry it after every use
  4. If it's just glue I wouldn't waste my time to have it shipped out and shipped back. I'd just glue it myself
  5. I use these. https://canada.drysure.co/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA1-3yBRCmARIsAN7B4H1HxVpYwS6tUhYxWwX7GtShwktlWEyza7J3ey2i0MotIUIHGXAjwOwaAl9PEALw_wcB
  6. I had a chat with them and if they break within a week they will look at replacing it but after that there's nothing they will do. They made a point that the vast majority of sticks don't just break from being defective, esp after being used for a few games, and usually if it does it's from actual game play that's isn't covered by warranty. The thing with big name brands is that they aren't that Nit picky when it comes to looking at how you actually broke the stick. And of course their price reflects the possibility of replacing the stick. The price of CHS is pretty much like paying for pro stock sticks.
  7. The tongue is interchangeable. From just the pics the lining on the ankle area looks beefed up which is nice. I wonder if the rest of the skate is more padded too. Everything else looks pretty much the same. Except some carbon on the tendon guard.
  8. The trigger 4 puck feel is actually pretty darn good imo. They softened the blade a bit.
  9. I'm ocd when it comes to skates and sticks lol. Didn't help when I had edge holders for that short time. Since using the an 4.0s the last year I haven't had to worry about loose steel and the rivets have all been solid so far.
  10. Yes and no.. because the facings on his skates wrap so we'll, technically the wrap itself reduces volume. For example true skates. They wrap so we'll it removes all neg space. The crease on his skates could just be from wear and tear and break down. He uses pretty old model skates that are probably tech mesh. That said older skates didn't wrap and mould as well so volume was pretty specific, hence the three diff fit lines. Who knows though. He could also be the type who over bakes his skates to get them super pliable and uses them for a short period of time as well which might be the reason why it's creasing/premature break down. Or he actually likes wearing skates that have extra volume... Which to me is a bit odd since he tire them up pretty tight.
  11. Or maybe caused by the ledge of the helmet at the forehead that I was speaking about before. How the plastic wraps over and literally is almost in contact with the forehead.
  12. The bake temps def have some influence on noises that the holders make. Whether it be the steel or the rivets. The expansion and contracting from hot cold etc... Don't think it really has any detrimental effect besides being really annoying.
  13. Maybe an issue with ccm production lines in China? Wonder why CCM is pretty much purely as2 and ft2s in the nhl. Don't think I've ever seen a trigger 4 / t4 paintjob
  14. I've used the a5.2 and original 1n and liked them but I hated my 2n pro. My current favorite sticks are all low kicks, ek365, a6.0ht, and trigger 4. Wasn't a huge fan of the covert low kicks. I'm also very interested int he ft2 but afraid it'll play similar to the 2n pro.
  15. I've had mine for about a year. And have no issues at all. Functionally or esthetics. Mind you I only skate once a week. My last pair lasted over a year and again no issues at all. No premature wearing of the liners etc.
  16. Probably all made in the same or similar factories. It does say on the site they recommend you order multiple sticks at a time bc of the turn around time. It's all made to order so there's less overhead for stock. Concept is good. I'd be willing to give it a shot. Quebec based company too. Reviews my start coming in later in the year since there would have been more sticks in players hands by then.
  17. No. Only because I can get true sticks from 112-190 right now and sticks like the trigger 4 for 200 tax in cdn. So not really worth my time to wait months at a time for that company with no real reviews. But if I have to choose a no name stick company, I'd try CHS first bc of the price and specs.
  18. Either your skates don't properly fit or your tongue is worn out. Or you have a pre existing lace bite injury that never fully healed. If the latter is the case you need to be more agressive in the rehabilitation of it rather than rest and hope it gets better.
  19. Should be available on their website soon unless they sell out before. They also have a sideline page.
  20. I'd rather get something from https://customhockeysticks.ca/ for a better price. And better options for reinforced areas and even a lightweight option at sub 400 grams. Their regular weight is less than abhs too.
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was pretty sure I saw it on the ft2
