  1. The catalyst just looks like a diff skin. I bet they are gonna say it's lighter carbon but the toe cap etc looks the same just diff graphics. But to be fair true's success is from their fit. Can't really mess with the design without messing with the fit.
  2. You didn't address my question. My question was whether the 64" stick is tested at the same sites for flex as the 60". Ie, are all sticks' flex, regardless of total manufactured length tested at the exact same spot. The first post by @mojo122 answered my question.
  3. This worked for me in the past but if all fails, the initial scan could be inaccurate. Also, if your stance was off it will definitely affect your scan. When I had my first pair made my right boot had no arch which made that boot feel sloppy. This is bc my right foot pronates in a lunge position due to my knee buckling in. Second pair I got made I consciously aligned my knees over my toes during the scan which prevented over pronation which led to a boot that had the proper arch. Personally, I prefer Bauer speedplates as they conform exact to the bottom of your feet and arch.
  4. So your post basically touched on what I said I didn't need to know, since I already get that aspect. But thanks.
  5. 710 was fine. It was the310 that gave me temple pinch. I don't see how the ear covers would make a difference.
  6. Thanks guys. This was reiterated by hockeystickman too.
  7. I rotate and have two ft3 pros and one trigger 4 pro. I bring one ft3 pro and one t4 pro to the rink and depending what position I play or what flex I feel like using I'll choose one over the other. Ft3 pro is 70 flex and my t4 is 75. Been feeling better with the 75 flex lately though, but I'm kind of fickle when it comes to going from one to the other.
  8. I'm looking at sticks on hockeystickman.ca and the only flex and curve option I want comes in the 64" extended length. I was wondering if the extended sticks' flex rating is tested at the same length as standard 59/60" sticks or whether the flex is rated at the longer length. I cut about 1-1.5" off a standard 60" stick and didn't want the 64 to feel stiffer after it's been chopped down 5". And for those who say stick flex never changes, I'm not here to argue with you about that topic. I'm just asking whether the sticks are tested at the same spot for flex regardless of length. Tia
  9. Does this shop have trues in stock? If so try them.
  10. It depends how the "custom" boot is made. If it's made inside out then yes it should fit. But if it's a stock boot thats high pressure moulded onto your foot last, there still may be issues esp where there's connection points where toe cap meets quarter package etc. Lots of variables.
  11. Or you can try the tf9 for 30 days lol. Custom ccms may not solve ur fit problems.
  12. Personally I'd go to your card company and get a refund. Hopefully u bought with credit card. It'll be easy to get your money back. If they cant prove the skate is in production. And not even an order number etc to follow-up with is Busch league
  13. You should be able to track the process online. You get an email sent to you by true confirming your order and the actual process and when they are shipped etc. If not, then it's on PHL.
  14. My same experience as well. But my overall favourite right now is the trigger 4 pro. But I'm more of a low kick guy. The ft3 pro does have more pop than traditional mid kicks that's why I like it too.
  15. I have issues with the temples of helmets digging into my cheek/temple bc of my cheekbones. It's annoying so only a handful of helmets fit me without that being an issue. It's usually fixed when I put a visor with old school washer spacers that cause the temples of tht helmets to pull out a bit, but when I try on helmets I will only get it if they fit good out of box as I don't want to count on my visor pulling the temple areas for good fitment. I prefer to use the ccm visors spacers that don't alter the shape or the helmet or visor at all, so that's another reason. Final reason is having the temples of the helmets flared too much bc of the visor could cause premature cracking of the plastic in that area.
  16. Interesting... For me it wouldn't be an issue but holder sizing is a problem if you're say generally a size 7 which is a 263 holder and gave to size down to 6-6.5 in true and that is a 254 holder. Doesn't make sense to me if the boot length is the same between their 6/6.5 and others' 7, yet they use a shorter holder.
  17. Didn't weigh. Don't care about the weight. Just the comfort. Didn't notice my ability to turn my head slower or faster than usual 😜
  18. Same. And you can't beat the clearance price.
  19. Reviving old thread. Just got a 710 and love it. Most comfy helmet I've had. Previously I was wearing the warrior alpha one pro and thought that was the most comfy. Still like the warrior but this is def more supportive and comfy whereas the warrior wasn't that supportive being a boa system. I tried the 310 as I wanted to get something cheaper if both fit the same but to my surprise the 310 didn't fit the same. The temples angled in more and really pushed into my temple/cheekbone area. I have the higher asian cheekbones which can make helmet fitting tricky. I was surprised at how the fits were that diff. I'm just glad the 710 fit. Played a pickup tonight with it and it felt great. I wasn't used to having so much support all around every inch of my head, that was the only thing I had to get used to, especially when coming from the warrior which is like a bike helmet.
  20. The reason I drop an eyelet is so I can tie my skates tight from top to bottom and still get the flexion, consistently. I don't like tying the top eyelet looser bc it affects the tension for the rest of the eyelets even with waxed laces.
  21. That sucks. Should've tried true and ccm first to see if either would work for you since both of guaranty periods.
  22. Take the footbed out and see if the length is right. Whether you can get your foot in the true skate prebake has no indication of how they will fit baked.
