  1. That happened to me my first time using them. Hasn't been an issue since.
  2. what about shipping them back to the store you bought them from and having the store file the claim on your behalf and have them send them in to easton for you
  3. Update: Helmet: 5100 & 4500. Bauer,Tron visors. Avision bubble. Shoulder Pads: CCM U+ Pro Shin Pads: Reebok 11k Elbow Pads: 7k Pro Gloves: One60 & Warrior Surge(oiler colors) Pants: Reebok 7000 oilers, Easton 85s Sticks: Widows Gionta, Totalone Toews prostock. Skates: Easton Mako & MLX
  4. Compared to APX/APX2 they are bit heavier. Compared to model 1 or 2 below that used the non-Fusion steel, the weight feels pretty darn close in the hand. As for the steel I think it holds an edge very well, just like my MLX steel did. I think it is better than LS2 in that regards. Deathtron mentioned to me what he did and it seems to have worked for me as well. I just heated that area that was bothering me and rolled it outward some. I also put an ice pack on it to help it cool down faster and hold the new position.
  5. As a MLX user and now Mako owner, very intrigued about getting a custom fit VH.
  6. I haven't tried the 18k's but I liked the Easton Pro shoulders better than the Mako shoulders. They have more of a Jofa/RBK feel to me.
  7. is that a zipper pocket on the side of Buff's skates, might be the new kangaroos
  8. Same here. Tried 8 and 7.5. 7.5 curled my toes, 8 was the winner. I wore an 8 in my x60s.
  9. Not sure about the replacement aspect but it is a medium thickness with a plastic lace bite channel. Pretty comfortable to me and thicker than my x60's tongue.
  10. Got chance to try on the 9035 85 flex, size 8D. I usually wear an 8 in almost every brand. I'd need a 8.5 in these. Although supposedly based on the x35 shape they were nicely snug on my shallow & skinny foot. Wish I could have baked them. Thick tongue and lots of ankle padding. Fairly light as well. Looks to be a solid offering from Graf.
  11. If a shop's oven only goes to 180 and these are listed to be done at 200, how many extra minutes should they be left in for?
  12. Any LHS owners know about availability of buying extra tendon guards and has stock of the replacement holder and steel come in?
  13. Has anyone that owns them put in a different footbed? If so, which one and your thoughts.
  14. What is main differences between 520 & 7000? Savants & Steelnation, How does sizing run?
  15. Got to use mine for 1st time today. Thought it would take a longer adjustment to the pitch but within a few minutes felt fine. Even felt fine on backwards crossovers. No sore spots anywhere, was like I has been using them for months. Definitely notice much more forward flex compared to my X60s and bit more than even my MLX's.
  16. Can we get an Easton rep to comment on why the different information?
  17. Sitting here with a pair on and cooling as I type. Box says to heat 10 mins @ 200 degrees.
  18. From the demo size 8 I saw, Chadd's earlier comment on it and my MLX's; the Mako's don't have an oversized holder like MLX did.
  19. Chadd, what holder size is on those? Curious as MLX seem to run over size on theirs. I.e. size 8 mlx had 280 instead of 272.
  20. I tried on an 8D demo several weeks ago and it didn't feel wide to me. Felt like my MLX's and snugger than my old 8D X60s.
  21. Nice! Did you tell them you wanted the Sanderson curve? :)
  22. Nothing new yet for the skinny, shallow foot. Hope they eventually come out with something like the G9035 but in a 703/G3 fit. That liner looks so comfy. Wait, did I read wrong and they got rid of the G3 and now only have the 703 for that foot shape?
  23. What about the fit was that much different? Does it fit wider? Like a 4-roll?
