I had a woman from Team USA come in asking for these skates today. Apparently they had them out in Lake Placid for the training camp. She asked for the "8090's with the clear tuuks"... the word is out.

They're not exactly clear - it's plastic that hasn't been dyed, basically. The pros probably won't use the clear but it'll be on the retail skate.

I don't know. I'm not a fan of the eyelet orientation - almost 90 degrees up. Reminds me of the 99-00 Supremes. Tendon guard is tall - but I wonder if RR&D took my advice on making the boot lower-cut - I had those issues with the 8090 and suggested it to them.
