Kor bought a composite factory in mexico that made sticks, so it's likely we'll see some on the market eventually. I haven't seen any though, but haven't been looking nor has the company rep contacted us yet. perhaps in 08, who knows.

What sticks were made at the place they bought? Spose it doesnt matter as I doubt Kor would reproduce old sticks instead of using their own composite technologies and know how, but still anyone know?

Agreed - a company is always better to differentiate right off the bat, unless they have the market profile and means to just roll cheap, indistinguished product over the competition. I would have hoped that with Kor's history of innovation they'd put that first.

and fyi, this is not a high end stick, this will fall in the midrange of prices of OPS.

my estimate on the retail price will be somewhere in the 129.99 USD range. not final on that price, but an estimate.

Unless first impressions are off by cosmic proportions, that's still way too high.

OK, I may have heard a little sum-thin sum-thin from a reliable source. Here's some info on the Kor stick:

* Sticks will be unveiled at the Vegas show in January

* They have a patent pending regarding the way the blade is woven into the stick resulting in "the lowest joint possible"

* The blade itself is pre-peg weave

* They are proposing 2 stick models: one low 500gram and the other approx 445 grams.

* I believe one of the models is called the ZX4, I think the other is the Apex

* True on-piece construction

* I have heard 16 and 17 inch tapers, so presume that either they went with a longer taper at 17 (as that's the last one I heard). It's either that or the taper varies by model.

* They will offer a grip, clear, or texture finish.

* They are planning on 5 different curves which they are finalizing now but the front runners are CLONES of the TPS Morrow, Modano (presume Easton, although I think the CCM is clone anyway), and the Easton Drury. They are also considering the Primeau and the Gionta (but I am unfamiliar with either of the latter two).

NOTE I have tried several times to get the first two to work, but just can't. They appear to upload, then the link doesn't work. They are roughly the same shots of what JR posted, so not a huge loss, but one of the pix is a much clearer/closer shot of the blade.

that graphic on the blade looks very "Vapor XXXX"-esque. I like the look of that curve... not a bad looking stick, I've seen worse. (think Pink Mission, orange/black camo Mission)
