ONE95 Skates, size 6

Recommended Posts

This is the tester pair I have been on for over 2 weeks. These skates are like a Vapor padded interior fit with a Supreme last. I leave the laces very loose, as in the front view picture, because the skates give so much support.

I love the looks of these saktes. Don't see many classic-looking skates around these days.

You're making me itch for new skates!

The interior boot is as well padded as the XXXX, not the ONE90 lean interior padding for maximum negative space. My last Vapor was a XX. The fit is different given Vapor has the full forward flex built into the last.

BTW, I have a friend on the Miramichi Timberwolves!

Couldn't agree more...I am so tired of the silver look on skates. The look of the One95's is a breath of fresh air.

I can't wait to try them on!

How do you like them compared to your one90's? I love my one90's too and tonight is the first time I'm going to get to skate on my one95's.

The ride is different than the ONE90s in a totally positive way! My first lap around the rink in the ONE95 was like Oh boy! They are very dynamic on ice but it takes a few sessions to get there with them. I hardly tie the laces at all. Still, my foot is secure and the boot provides so much support and energy transfer. Leave the laces loose so your feet don't start screaming at you from tieing them too tight. You can always tighten them after 10-15 minutes. I don't bother to though. Also, the set-up on the LS2.1 steel was perfect for me out of the box. I still haven't sharpened them a second time after 6+ hours on ice. I skate on 9/16" with no problem and am headed shallower.

Gotcha, thanks.

Cool, I see a couple of their games a year. The Abbies (Jr team in my area that play against Miramichi) play in a rink about 3 minutes from my house.

Did you have a heel lift added at all, or do they not need them compared to One90 boots?

I did bake the skates. The baking was not as dramatic as with the ONE90. The ALIVE composite upper has tremendous response on ice. When you hold the skate in your hand, you wouldn't think so but on ice it's a different story.

super nice skates but are def starting to wear off a little bit on me, lots and lots of hype but the more people who get them they just start to lose their appeal.

dont get me wrong, very nice skates but I forsee a vapor XXXX reaction to the one95's

Yeah, you take probably the most popular skate and make it fit more people(along with basic upgrades) and you have a winner.

I'd be willing to bet that the one95 takes the award this year.

Are the one95's supposed to fit wider feet or narrow feet? I pretty much have had trouble with every skate my entire life, and been dedicated to grafs last couple of years and my foot shape has changed and these skates this year have been so uncomfortable. Since i have a good job this summer i'm looking to invest in high end skates, my feet have pretty much stopped growing too.

Dark:

Thanks for the extra info on the 95s...man I can't wait! I have been calling every hockey store in my area to check their anticipated arrival. Looks like Kemps is my most likely choice. I want to try them BAD!

Skated for the first time on mine tonight. I really liked them. Can't give to much of a review because it was just a light skate. That and had them sharpened at hockey giant and they did a craptastic job. I am going to have them sharpened at my LHS tomarrow and my 1st game in them will be sunday.

This has probably been asked before but here goes, are the ONE95's fitting the same size as the ONE90's? For Eg: ONE95 size 8.5D the same as ONE90 8.5D?

I think so. I went from a 10 one90 to 9.5 one95. Lengthwise they felt about the same but they weren't as tight around the rest of my foot as my one90's. My feet are 1/4 size differerent and my larger foot is a tad tight in the 9.5 but not bad at all.
