I can't wait to see the guys that used the auto-one-timer goal "skill", bitch, when guys get good at lifting the stick and it takes that only goal scoring option away from those said guys.

Game looks pretty solid though. After selling my PS3 last year, I don't know if I should pick up another since it will be 60fps this year or change it up and try out a 360 and get '09. (Not trying to change this into a console discussion.)

I understand the Be A Pro mode, however, can you create a player for a single season and assign them to a team with the attributes you set?

i wonder what happens when you pull the goalie? or if you even can? like would a default skilled player come on, and the person who was controling the goalie take over? or what if your goalie clears the puck over the glass, who serves the penalty?

i have noticed in 08 there is no delay of game when a penalty killer clears the puck over the glass.... also there is no goalie interference calls either

Thats because the goalie just trips or knocks you over when you get too close.

thats not true , i have played on superstar and been scored on and i watch the replay and one of thier player is standing in the crease on top of the goalie and it doesnt let my goalie slide to make the save ... its kinda funny and it doesnt happen alot but it does happen..... I also hate on superstar that too many shots from the point with no traffic beat kipprusoff top shelf .... its pisses me off lol

Anyone know if Best Buy will offer this game on a presale? I have some rewards certificates I need to spend before Aug 23 and if the game will be on sale at Best Buy before that then I'll hold off on buying something else.

I hate you 360/PS3 guys...I have an old Xbox...and don't even have Live...so I spent the better part of the weekend going through rosters in EA07 and adding/moving players around the league so I can start a new season

Hey, I envy YOU, I was in your shoes for a while then bought a 360, HDTV and all the bells and whistles. I play it maybe once a week tops, I'm almost scared to play Live because the geeks "PWN" me. :P

Nar seriously, the thing bugs me. The controller forever needs recharging, the things louder then a Don Cherry suit and it cost me a fair wack aswell. I just wish I'd have bought a couple 05' SL's and got my 15 mintues of joy another way...

I wouldn't be suprised with the last 2 pc versions if it is litterally just a splashscreen update and new rosters. I will never look back to the pc version after finally getting a 360.

The wait is almost over! The NHL 09 Demo is coming in late August to PSN and the XBOX 360 Marketplace. Details on the demo will come shortly.
