One90 Gloves

Recommended Posts

Just curious. Maybe I don't watch enough hockey but I don't think I've ever seen an NHL player wearing Supreme One90 gloves (lots of NBH 4 Rolls out there). Am I correct? If so, why not? Is it preference or are One90 gloves somehow "not up to snuff"?

Thanks in advance...

I know Todd White used to when he was with the wild. That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Doesn't Naslund too?

i would say they are just a different fit

tight on the back of the hand instead of loose and easy to drop ;P

better for wrist protection if anything

... but don't be surprised if NONE of these players actually used a retail-spec One90 mitt. None of the One90 prostocks have the floating fingers or stretchy gussets. Only the shape and appearance of the glove are similar, but even on that level there are many differences.

So I guess to answer the question more directly, no. I doubt any NHL player is actually wearing the One90 retail glove.

There is an ONE90 PRO model which doesn't have the retail palm.

I just got a pair of the one90 pro gloves and coming from retail one90's, they are much different. The pro's have a nash palm as opposed to the stretch palm on the retails, as well as more protection (feels like there may be plastic inserts but i'm not certain). I find the gloves are stiffer out of the box than the retails, probably due to not having the stretch palm and the added protection, but I haven't used them yet so they'll likely break in nicely.

The 'One90 Pro' gloves that I saw had palms that were an off-white color and had a texture with dimples on them (like a golf ball).

No, the 'dimples'/holes were bigger.

Michael Peca wears supremes

I've never seen a pro wear the stretch palm One 90 gloves. The pro style one 90s that i have seen all have the more thin traditional palm, a normal "drop style" thumb, and the supreme 70 more loose fit.

Personal opinion, the new style supremes were just too futuristic looking for the NHL crowd. I think that they would only wear them if they were forced to (i.e. World Junior team, etc)
