iceman8310 105 Report post Posted January 6, 2021 The USPS likes to lose international packages. I have a few packages from Canada that stopped getting shipping updated. They left New York and vanished. Has anyone else have this happen to them before? How did they fix it? Was the package lost for good?
Giltis 116 Report post Posted January 11, 2021 I've been feeling pretty down about everything, I'm sure it's somewhat due to the lack of games/physical exercise (we're under lockdown again), it's been pretty gloomy lately and it's starting to affect every facet of my life. I've pursued therapy, but the remote video call didn't really feel like I was talking to someone that was there (I also felt like the therapist wasn't really listening). Worse yet, I feel I can't complain because others I know have it worse. And some, much much worse.
caveman27 208 Report post Posted January 16, 2021 I got COVID-19 last week. Lost my sense of smell and taste. I got tested and it came back positive. I've been inside for a week now. At least, I'm saving on gas, not that I was driving that much. My symptoms have been minor, fortunately. I don't know how or where I got it. Anyway, the loss of taste and smell isn't that bad; now I can taste some sweetness or bitterness but no flavor. I was super tired on Monday though. Feel better!
Steve_v3 289 Report post Posted June 13, 2023 So spring hasn’t been good at all. My latest colonoscopy showed some mild dysplasia (precancerous tissue). I’m getting a more enhanced colonoscopy in the fall. And depending on how that looks I’ll be getting surgery to either remove a portion of my colon removed or a total colectomy. Then if that wasn’t enough I stepped on a puck and went into the boards and broke my shoulder. The top corner of my humerus broke. I’m seeing Orthopedics tomorrow to see if I need to have surgery for that. There goes my summer.

You should have enough punches in your card for the shoulder treatment to be free...

I've been recovering from rotator cuff surgery and have been back on the ice in a limited capacity (reffing and practice) for a few weeks, but this past Sunday started having some pretty bad vertigo. That seems to maybe be getting a little better, but still not going to be able to skate a tournament this weekend I really wanted to do at a minimum. I hope your shoulder stuff goes well and you get good news from the next colonoscopy! Mark
Steve_v3 289 Report post Posted September 25, 2023 So my big colonoscopy is tomorrow. unfortunately, run of the mill for me. The only thing different this time is the doctor will be using dye to do targeted biopsies. The colonoscopy will be twice as long so they're having me get general anesthesia for this one. So I won't get to experience the cramping, which is nice. Then I wait for the results. Not exactly looking forward to another surgery.

Hope its as routine as this type of procedure gets! Mark
Monty22 832 Report post Posted September 25, 2023 Good luck Steve! Hope it goes smoothly and biopsies are "unremarkable". At least you're out for what sounds like a pretty unpleasant procedure. I had my hernia surgery this morning (for the injury the day before Summer Jam). Hurts to roll over or get out of bed. Hoping that doesn't last for too long...

Steve_v3 289 Report post Posted September 28, 2023 I haven’t gotten the biopsies back, but things didn’t look good during the procedure. My doctor said that there was significant inflammation and couldn’t do what he wanted because of the inflammation. so I’m waiting for the results of my biopsies and afterwards will discuss options. My doctor didn’t seem very optimistic when we talked afterwards on what he saw. So I'm In limbo waiting for the results. ☹️
marka 526 Report post Posted September 28, 2023 Howdy, Ah hell man, that doesn't sound good. Hopefully the biopsies come back better than you're expecting and he just tells you to lay off the flaming hot cheetos? Mark

Which is good, but he wasn’t able to take as many biopsies as he wanted to. Everything looked bad, so now I’m waiting to see where I go from here. In the report it has pictures and it was pretty ugly.
Steve_v3 289 Report post Posted January 15 Well it finally happened. I took a shot to the face tonight. All my teeth on my right side are in the middle of my mouth. I’m currently waiting for a CT scan to see if it’s a facial fracture or dental surgery. Thankfully it’s not as painful as I thought it was going to be. But I’m sure that won’t last after it gets fixed. They’re going to give me Tylenol. I’m sure that will help. 1

IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted January 16 Hey at least this is your first time ever in a hosp.... oh, no wait. In all seriousness, holy shit. That's crazy. I always think of things like losing a tooth as being "horrible" results of a puck to the face. This is horrible! Hope it goes well and that the tylenol gets upgraded sooner than later! Time for a cage?
