Jarick 5 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 5100 was a tad too narrow/deep compared to 5500 for me, which fit "like a glove". Former Intake user. Glad they're keeping it...5100/7500/9900 would be a nice lineup (although they should probably rename the things). But I'd probably pick up a Messier helmet next time around as they are even more comfortable.

tjl_48 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 Thank goodness for this. My 8500 is falling apart and the 9500 didn't fit me at all. Coudn't find anything else that fit me as well as the 8500 either.

tooomey 1 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Saw the 9900 and it looks very much like 9500 with those vents in the back but with a different inside. Looked very nice IMO

sogaduch 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 The 9900 is a super comfy helmet, wore one back in Febuary at a SDC skate and was impressed with the overall fit much like everyone is saying with the 8500 but the comfort padding inside the 9900 is more supple and found held my head more in place during the skate compared to the 850, the lines on the 9900 are also much sleaker in comparison to the 8500. Really wonder what the 9900 will look like with a oakley pro straight small visor on it and no ear loops :D
furlanitalia 1 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 eeeekk! is it just me or does the BaUeR logo look huge up front?please don't do start that lol. Does anyone think the inside looks like the s19? At least with the yellow accents?
mik3 1 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 eeeekk! is it just me or does the BaUeR logo look huge up front?I think it's just 'cause you don't have any other text close to it to use as a reference point. It doesn't seem much bigger than the wordmark on a 5100.

puckhoggy 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 So im picking this helmet for myself, but want to know should I go with the helmet/cage combo, or the helmet alone?I currently have the CCM 480 chrome cage. Please let me know if I should be looking into the 9900 cage, thx
duch 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 I have the S-19 and the inside padding looks very similar to your photo of the 9900. Either helmet would be a great buy if your looking for a good top end helmet. I'd try out the fit before I bought though, to make sure it was what I liked. I believe the fit in the Easton is shallower than the 9900.

sickwilly 37 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 I'm considering buying this helmet. Can anyone compare it to the 9500 in terms of protection? I really like my 9500, and it's still in very good shape. I have a concussion history and wonder if the changes/"upgrades" might make it worth upgrading to the 9900 lid.
