The Winnipeg market is the smallest in NHL they say, so I think they should at least connect themselves to all the Manitoba province. They also wanted to distinct this franchise from the previous one. many People were confident that they will do so... weird

About the same as the Baltimore Ravens being the continuation of the old Cleveland Browns. You have to keep track of the years to know which organization you're looking at.

I'm a Winnipeger and a new season ticket holder to the Jet's. I can tell you all that while the Coyote's may be the original franchise and "hold all the Jets records and history". We here in Winnipeg don't care because it's our history. It happened here in our city, our rink in front of our people. Do you know how rediculous it looked when Phoenix retired Thomas Steen's and Dale Hawerchuk's numbers? They had never even played there. No one in Phoenix even knew who they were. We've sold 13000 season ticket with the cheapest being a 3 year commitment and the most exspensive being 10 years. We will never allow what happened the first time to happen again.
