PSU club team has had a nike deal for years due to the PSU all sports nike contract as Chadd mentioned. Players are still responsbile for paying for skates though at a discounted rate and not all players get unlimited sticks. One thing that their team has/had that is really unique is the nittany lion on the kidney pad of the pants. I had never and still have never seen anything like it reproduced for another team.

Any word on PSU's new equipment deal? I assume it will stay Nike for jersey/pants/socks..but equipment wise..Bauer?

anyone else notice fedetenko using 9k twig

It's interesting how there are a few pros who use the 9K, graphics or otherwise. I don't see AI 7 graphics anywhere haha. We just got a batch of pro stock sticks in and I saw Patrice Bergeron's stick among them (very attractive 80 flex, too bad he's a righty :( )

What's his curve like?

Maybe the 9k is a retail fused stick compared to the constructions for the 11k.

Don't know, didn't have enough time to look. The 9K IS a fused stick, same with the AI 7, that was what I was wondering. Also, most of the pics of Bergeron that I've seen has him with an 11K. I was also surprised that Tanguay uses a 120 flex...ridiculous!

Nice look at the RS skate

If they're going to get someone to just read the spec sheet, could they at least get a professional to do it?

Sort of seems like there is a lot of ideas taken from Bauer skates. At the same time has EPP ever been used in a skate before?

The guts of the S15 is EPP, not sure about S17. What did they take from Bauer? From this video, it doesn't seem like they borrowed ideas from anyone else (the tendon guard maybe, but Reebok has it too) and is an evolution of their Stealth line; nothing drastic as far as specs go from that video.

EPE in the S15, not EPP.

Reebok/CCM has been using EPP in their skates for quite some time now.

Thanks for the correction, must have heard 'P' and not 'E' after.

It's not the same grade/composition of EPP as on most helmets is it? Don't know too much about these materials...

I'm not saying they're totally ripping off ideas, it just seemed things like the top of the boot looked to have something really similar to total edge, and the liner looked a little like the one in the TotalOne. Might just be me though.

Flexible tendon guard and the liner and outsole look T1ish. Also, the toe cap looks a bit like the NXG cap in that it has certain areas cut away. I think all the manufacturers must look at what Bauers doing. After all, they dominate the skate market at retail and pro.

Those actually look pretty sweet in that colorway. Hate to say it, but I love white on gloves.

is that an rbz behind him

It's a ccm u+cl with a white bottom. The pro option is either black or a white bottom (lecavalier uses the cl with white bottom too)

Aaron Palushaj of the Bulldogs and Habs uses a white bottom as well.
