How come the ones you don't like never break!

After my M-1 broke, I went and got another Mission. I got the Pulse 85 Elias. Same flex and curve as the M-1, but it just sucked. Way stiffer than advertised and no puck feel. Still hasn't broken!!! I actually gave it to a friend who is just starting.

My black Sherwood 7030 Coffey curve was my favorite stick back in the day- top shelf all day long! Blade got stepped on when mucking it up in the corner, didn't realize it was broken and got hit with the penalty for not dropping it -insult to injury.

I have since learned to lift the puck w/o a banana (and made the subsequent leap to OPS), but that stick was a sentimental favorite.

There are so many sticks I loved. the xn10, bauer tri flex, the original gold ak 27 shaft was the best shaft I ever used. but for OPS I used I believe the tps armour with xn10, it was red and gold and had a grip in addition to a nipple grip like texture. loved that stick.

I would have said it was a tie between the APX and total one until I got my hands on some SPezza Prostock se16's. I never knew what the big deal was about Easton...but I do now! The blade feel, the balance, the accuracy!!!! My stick feels like a super light weight wood stick.

1.) Easton T-Flex 100 flex (Blue Shaft) with T-10 Blade. Just like Roenick in his Black Hawks days!

2.) Selanne Titan ASD stick from his Winnipeg Jets Days

3.) Easton Convex Silver Tip Extra Stiff Flex 110 which in a OPS would be about 180flex. It has dent in the shaft and is slightly bent and I used it like that for 5 years and never broke or cracked and I still have it!

4.) Easton with Gold shaft and red lettering from the early 90's, Brett Hull used to use these.

5.) Louisville composite shaft (1997-1998) black with orange letters and the "lock jaw blade" that used an allen key in the blade to expand the extension in the shaft to lock it in.....but it didn't work and just ended up glueing blades in.
