Prototypes of the new Warrior skates. They’re prototypes, but eesh not a great looking leak

I actually like them. You can see where some flourishes could be added to make the more window ready, but they have a decent silhouette. Looks like a pretty average cut pattern—in between L and C. I like the static pattern on the quaters better than a bunch of lines that don’t mean anything. I’m surprised they’re going with unreinforced facing on the fore and midfoot. Every time a skate company does that they go away from it after a generation or two.

It's a proto... It's gonna probably look nothing like this so there's really no point picking away at what is or isn't on the skate.

Gotta love Leo Komarov ... he's currently playing in Finland's top league and due to team rules he had to ditch the Bauer 4500 to CCM. So what did he go with? The HT2 - of course! Fully painted and refurbished 🤤

2024-03-02_karpat-hifk-komarovkypara_MG_

Here's the story about it in Finnish (you can Google Translate it😞https://www.jatkoaika.com/Haastattelu/HIFKn-konkarit-hämmentävät-varusteillaan-−-Leo-Komarov-pelaa-30-vuotta-vanhalla-kypärällä-ja-Antti-Pihlströmin-terissä-ei-ole-lainkaan-uraa/255798

"...I have an old CCM HT2 like that in a workshop somewhere, and it's still in its original package. I dug it, I sent Leo a message. He answered that of course! It's a good-looking helmet, Hallikainen (equipment manager) says.

The question arises, why doesn't Komarov wear the same helmet as everyone else? Hallikainen answers with a small smile on the corner of his mouth.

- Leksa is Leksa . It's nice that others don't have the same thing. He's an old school  guy, and wants a traditional rubatex padding. It sits a little differently on the head.

According to Hallikainen, the individual helmet used by Komarov was manufactured in 1994. It was originally white in color, so before being put into use it went through many work phases that took about six working hours."

Steel for True's new holder looks like it has cut outs at the top reminiscent of Tuuk Light Speed perforated steel. It doesn't cut out as far down, but you can see space between the holder and the steel across the bridge if you zoom in a bit.

I like the look of the holder. A lot less busy compared to everything going on on the surface of Shift and Shift Max.

New SVH skates look good. I agree about the holder too, but damn True’s release mechanism is the worst

why? The blades are more secure than Bauer's

I simply meant the removal process. it’s finicky to hold the mechanism back enough to be able to pull out the steel. Compared to Bauer and CCM it’s a pain

HAHA love the name.

Doesnt looks bauer to me unless bauer has decided to get rid of the trigger blade release mechanism. Holders look to have some of feature on the heel similar to the old Cobra holders. Could we be seeing yet another Marsblade holder??

I was thinking of Cobra and VHStep's aft bolt too. It's hard to tell from the pictures I've seen. The wavy shoreline of the holder where the rivets go reminds me of MLX. I know Cruikshank said they were working on boots and holders with D'Cosi, but it's hard to find anything on them. I agree, it doesn't seem like this is actually Bauer.

The tuuk perforated steel has a bunch of little triangles. This looks more like blade tech steel with the notches. The true shift steel has one notch in the back and these look just a couple more. Maybe for weight savings.

The original black set that debuted on the Vapor 8 did, but the LS2 perforated steel from the Vapor XX era had wide wedge perforations that lined up with the holes in the holder bridge as seen here on the best player ever deliberately excluded from the Hockey Hall of Shame:
