Messier's Winwells?

Where exactly does Marky Mark Messier get his Winwell helmets from? Im under the impression they closed down AGGGGEESSS ago. He has new ones all the time is there a secret stash under his house or something?

If I remember correctly the old story was he had a ton of them and when the rangers added the third jersey a while back he had an auto body shop spray a few of helmets to match.

Dan Cloutier uses the same helmet. He has some of Messier's old helmets that were left behind from his time with the Canucks. Cloutier has his helmets painted by an auto body shop.

Winwell and the old Coopers were a very similar design. I had both in the day.

For the record. The winnwell helmets and Cooper Sk2000's were different. But they are very similar since the Cooper used similar moulds with modifications.
