As per usual, I noticed another strange branding situation in the NHL.

Dmitry Kulikov from the Florida Panthers has been rocking VH skates WITH the VH logo in the past few games.

I don't think VH has branding rights in the NHL, plus his previous pair and all the other ones in the NHL were/are unbranded. Maybe it's just because it's Florida and the NHL knows not too many people watch their games so they're a little more lax with the rules. Who knows, maybe SVH decided to pay the branding fees?

I wondered about that too, noted it in the VH thread.

I don't have a picture but I noticed Justin Fontaine on the Wild switched from a Ribcor to a v9. I'm guessing the Easton rep has strong relationships within the Wild organization, they're heavy Easton stick users.

Okay guys, I've asked this before in the Bauer RE-AKT thread, but nobody seemed to know:

Will there be a new option for thicker temple pads on the RE-AKT available to the public? I've seen Dan Hamhuis with thicker temple pads all season and just recently saw Clarke Macarthur with the same sized memory foam, so it must not just be a custom Canucks EQM thing. It would make sense if Bauer released this feature since the normal temple pads are so slim and I've noticed many players with the helmet quite loose around the temples (Patrick Kane, Kyle Turris, etc.). I personally have found the same problem when trying on the helmet in store, but I digress.

Here are some pics for reference:

And here's the usual, retail RE-AKT on Jason Garrison: http://www.gettyimages.dk/detail/news-photo/jason-garrison-of-the-vancouver-canucks-looks-on-from-the-news-photo/479744433

Can't find pictures online, but Max Pacioretty was wearing the Warrior Krown last night against the Blue Jackets. Also looked like Brian Gionta was, but I couldn't tell for sure. Looks like more and more guys are warming up to the Krown, although I know they get the special VN foam pro versions instead of the odd fitting retail ones.
