First, cut off some wood timbers to 15.5*25.5*145mm. This is just my geometry. If you want more long grip, you need extension as you want. The square,15.5*25.5 is much important number. So I cut a timber little big and after change it slowly with something like plane or files. After all, cut some corners off if as the wooden core can be set in your silicone mold. Make silicone mold of your master piece. It's better to coating your master with primer/surfacer because resin have construction factor. Before casting, coat wooden core with something like varnish to prevent bubbling. Set wooden core into the silicone mold and cast epoxy resin. Now as you know I'm considering to order my new sticks. I bought a QRL stick from my local shop though, I can test it under very average environment. I'm feeling it was really good work for my hockey life.

Recuperation rolls along nicely... after an extra week, the drainage tubes are finally out (I'm free! I can shower like a normal person!) and I'm allowed to reach above my head for things. Still no lifting over ten pounds, and nothing more strenuous than a brisk walk, but I feel so much better than even a week ago. On top of that, I had a surprise visit from three of my work kids and their parents on Halloween - we all had no idea we lived so close, and after two weeks away I was thrilled to see them. Looking forward to seeing them on Friday, even if I'm going to have to tell them I can't play monster or lift anybody or give any piggyback rides for another few weeks.

That sucks! Hope it resolves itself much sooner. But looking on the bright side, if you wear an eye patch you can totally get away with acting like a pirate.

Got my set last week. While I'm not sure I can fully comment on any performance increases, I can say that it has made my skate more comfortable and truly ate up the space left in the toe cap. Even if that's all the benefit I get from my purchase, it was still worth it. I like them.

There is a 79 year old in local 50+ league wearing a pair of Bauer Supreme skates from 1962. The guy holds his own out there, I spoke with him and he no longer drives...finds lifts to rink to play shinny. I'll get a pic and post it, amazing those skates have lasted about 55 years of 1-2 times a week hockey!

Looking forward to seeing a "Sweet Spot" ending to this story. Hang in there.

Was able to launch 3 new jersey designs for Hockey Fights T1D at our fundraiser on Oct 1st. I am very please with the designs that Taylor Vause (pro player with T1D that does graphic design on the side) came up with. It has been so great working with him and having that Type 1 Diabetes tie-in with him being the designer. The jerseys are fully sublimated and can be customized with your name and number on them. They are for sale in our store. www.squareup.com/store/HockeyFightsT1D
