been on a retro kick the last couple of weeks..

I bought my first house. It had gotten to the point that it was time to quit waiting for be moved job-wise and to set down roots somewhere. That being said, what a shitty process it is.

I was delighted to see that Ivan Lodnia got drafted by Wild. He is our local, SoCal product. Born into hockey. Probably learned to skate before he learned to flush toilet. I am happy for his father who dedicated his life to the sport. Job well done! I have watched Ivan play a little bit and he is quite a treat. Now, I am adding Minnesota Wild to my NHL watch list.

When you are my age, anyone under 30 is 16 ;)

They're going through retailers. My store is getting a fitting station set up in the coming weeks.

Won a beer mug for winning our inline championship game! Nice to see the league display a sense of humor... also got some tape, a folding allen key set, and a stick of deodorant. Haha.

I played in my first travel tournament this weekend. We lost all 3 games by 1, but every game was very competitive and everyone in our division was well matched, just some silly puck luck. i had a blast!

Couple of good things happened recently.. Just got back from visiting my fiancee's family in Michigan. She must love me a lot, she was willing to let me go to Perani's for a while, even though we had a compressed schedule, people to see, and a million and one things to do up there. Best fiancee ever. :) Also, I got offered a job at a construction company's shipping and receiving department. 40+ hours a week, every other Friday off, and I get my own office. Needless to say, life is going pretty good for me right now.

First time back on the ice in over 6 months and a little under 6 months after surgery as well.

Both of the old Tuuk Custom Plus runners on my Supreme 7000's were getting loose, and I couldn't get them tightened up anymore. Decided that since the boots are still in great shape, I'd have some new Lightspeed Edge holders put on. Haven't tried them out yet, but looking forward to it this weekend!
