Wearing socks? Where does it say you scan with socks on? Maybe this is why I have had so few issues? I always scan barefoot

This. I would never, ever trust the scan on it's own. If there was one piece advice I could give to every person looking to get customs it would be this. Make sure you measure up your feet (ideally with a Brannock or something similar that will give you a correct foot length and width) and that the measurements are included in the notes. If the scan data and the notes / physical measurements don't line up then someone should be contacting you to sort things out BEFORE they begin the build.

Do all of the scans barefoot, regardless of brand and/or scanner. In my experience, all of the scans are more accurate when they're bare. If you're told any differently, consider the source; chances are they're just looking for add-on sales.

I've been using the Tron S40 or Tron-esqe visors for the last 2-3 seasons and they get the job done. They do scratch easily so I usually replace mine after the season is over. I don't mind it though since they are cheap and the slim cut is hard to find. Other than that, I don't feel that I'm missing anything (I've used Bauer and Oakley 1/2-ers in the past).

We haven't gotten to that point yet, I would imagine eventually I'll need to, but with the holiday coming up and all... And it wasn't a "pro liner" persay, it was a "pro fit". I believe someone wrote about it a bit back who (if memory serves) was actually fitted directly at True. As explained to me, the difference between "pro fit" and the standard "retail fit" is that pro is meant to remove all negative space right from the get-go and and generally be a much tighter fit to your foot. Retail takes into consideration that it may not be everyone's cup of tea to have a second skin-esque skate, or might use thicker socks, looser tightening of laces, etc. I opted for the standard black clarino liner over the moisture wicking, as they said the clarino is much more durable. Not sure if they even offer the tan clarino anymore, truth be told! Overall, I know they want to address my heel lock at the factory as well as the extra length. However, I felt like they nailed down my forefoot pretty well. (I have stupidly wide forefeet with pretty narrow ankles) As a matter of fact, when we unboxed and the Pure hockey guys saw the build out of the forefoot on my boots, their response was "holy crap". A day in the life of having Hobbit feet, I guess...

Does anyone else find it odd that with a 3D scan of your feet they seem to have so many issues, yet they were able to nail it back when you just sent them an outline and some photos?

I was scanned for my Trues through Pure Hockey, and the guy who scanned/fitted me was great and super knowledgeable; asked all the right questions and took down all the right info. After some minor tweaking, my Trues fit perfectly. Even asked when I predominantly played, due to feet swelling in the later part of the day (thus why I asked the question earlier) From experiences I've read from the board, I think the negative issues that arise with True skates can be directed back to the initial fit/scan. In the end, it doesn't matter where you go, as long as you get a fitter who knows what they're doing...not unlike buying skates in the past.

Agreed! and during the podcast you could have a forum open for members of MSH to ask questions for the podcast to answer. The forum itself obviously gives room for answering questions, but hearing it vocally could be special for members as well
