1 pointI understand the R&D aspect of the price, but a big part of the rising costs is “because we can, and people will keep buying them.” (Bauer, I’m looking at you…) the positive part is what was once a top of the line stick trickles technology down to models in subsequent years second and third tier sticks at a comparative bargain

1 pointWarranty replacement would be built into the business model and unless something drastic was happening homogeneously across all manufacturers then it is not consistently driving prices up. Don't buy the expensive sticks, that will drive prices down if enough people do it. Otherwise there is a willingness to pay and it is making business sense for the manufacturers.

1 pointMy TF9s (all 3 of them) have opened up a bit after use, but I don’t think I could have gone down another half size from what I wore in Bauer. A 1/4 size smaller would likely be perfect, but not worth the money to go customs when the retail skates fit close enough

1 pointI went from 2Ss to TF7s. Bauers had a quad 0.5 on step steel. I left the the stock profiles on the TF7s (omg don't tell anyone I’m skating on stock profiles). I felt a little on my toes at first, but have totally adjusted to it. The overall forward lean of the skates really rewards you for bent knees and proper form. If I’m being lazy and “standing up” when I play, I feel less responsive overall.
