But this new stick goes to 11!

Stay tuned for full reviews and video content. FYI, just from unpacking everything and tinkering with it in the house, I am impressed. They did an excellent job implementing the Aer-Tec suspension system, even though it was something we have seen similar previously in other equipment.

I sure wish that instead of incremental "performance" updates these companies would put the resources into offering more than 4 patterns...and "max" doesn't count for me. That's what I wish. Thanks for listening.

There is a solution to your request... put your money towards someone like Gepetto (prostockhockeysticks) instead of the retail giants. Hit them in the pocket.

It depends on the build you select. Jetspeed vs Tacks vs RIbcor.

This solution still depends primarily on the boot providing the support. You can do all the shimming / posting / fiddling around you like but if the boot doesn't provide the almost perfect fit, it's all basically useless when under power on an edge, If you are a skate fitter, this is the easy fix because it gets the person back on the ice with some improvement but long term I hate it because it hinders their development in the future. The workaround is to straighten the heel bone yourself using your muscles, it isn't hard, it's one simple exercise. Then the forefoot will untwist and lie flat as long as you focus on keeping the ball of the foot on the floor. Then you can strengthen the arch because it's intrinsic strength is missing due to it's new alignment relative to the heel bone. A strong arch is critical to keeping the heel bone in neutral alignment when you are deep on an edge under power. Now you have actually fixed your pronation (I don't say fixed your flat feet as flat feet on their own are not necessarily an issue) both on and off ice.

Howdy, Congrats on finding the game and getting started! I'm a little older than you (LOL... I'm 53) and started as an adult so I'm not going to be able to tell you a ton about starting as a young adult in house league. What I can say is that playing hockey should be all about having fun learning about, getting better at, and playing the game, particularly in house league. If you're 14 and have just discovered hockey, one of the things you're going to run into is players that have been playing since they were 5 and are crazy good, etc. etc. Don't let it get you down when you can't do the stuff on the ice that those people can do. Just keep working at it, keep having fun, and before you know it you'll be pretty good too. πŸ™‚ Welcome! I'm jealous of you starting playing before your knees are worn out, while you're still flexible, etc. πŸ™‚ Mark

Just a quick update. These are fantastic, and I'm so happy with them. I feel a bit of pressure on the navicular where normally I would feel pain in other boots. But I am told that this will work itself out. One thing that I've not seen in any reviews about the TF9 goalie skates is the back piece where there's a cutout for your achilles, and is covered by a stretchy neoprene allowing for more ankle flex during your backwards C-cut and angled pushes. Also about the backside, I have read about needing to protect it, so I will try to put something clear on it. The stock profile is really good and I was able to get used to them immediately. I may get another steel but not sure at the moment.

Another iteration, another disappointment that the strapping system isn’t back to the style the RBZ was on the shins 😞

Great vid. I am so jealous haha. I've always loved CCM's protective line. I wonder how their elbows are as I've never had an elbow pad that I liked. Either too bulky and most are uncomfortable and get in the way because they don't stay in place.
