Unbelievable. I have one in my attic with the screw in plastic ear loops.
-
That is awesome info thanks. I believe the HM ones are the first iteration roughly 2016 or so. I saw the newer 2020 models on IW. They do look cool
-
Just based on watching all the games, it looks like the spacer is attached to the helmet and then separate screw(s) attach the visor to the spacer.
-
apologies for the typical Sunday resurrection, but I was interested to see if anyone has tried on or owns the Pro Stock XC9 gloves like HM is selling. I've surmised the A series are huge but what about these XC models. Normally I am a 14 in Covert, Supreme etc. Are the 14s in these huge too? thanks. amen.

Marc Staal had this on his helmet at some point too. He might still even use it. Figured it keeps the visor totally secure to the helmet and won't move at all. Both players had pretty bad eye injuries and I'm sure they don't want the visor moving at any point.

it is all preference.

Looking for undershirt to help with moving elbows

You can wrap the sleeve over your pads. Most shirts allow you to do this much like the SD. -
Thoughts on the new Bauer Vapor 2X Pro protective?
OldCY replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I'm kind of glad they don't have the free flex on the bottom. I always thought it was kind of a gimmick unless you wore your shins long over the skate tongue. Also like that there is a thick calf strap as opposed to the thin one they used to have below it. Just my below market value two cents. -
Went w the pro. Seem solid. Not sure if they are as solid as my x900 but ice time will tell. The edge was slightly out of my budget
-
Somewhat yes. Just looking for a solid pant that is roughly a step below top of the line.
-
Wondering how the protection is on these if anyone has any input. Are they comparable to the vapor x900 in terms of protection ? Higher quality ? Lower ? Thanks!
-
i thought they were supposed to sit below the padded belt.
-
Does the 15 shell fit more snug and shorter than the 10? Had a medium 10 that was at least 2" longer than a medium pants. Also had to cinch quite a bit to make it tight. Wondering if the new model fits better, thanks.

Yeh I thought it was a bit much. There was a brief window where I thought I could have made some side hustle doing this for $100. Two kids later, I might have to bump the price up and dig out my Icelandic dictionary.
-
Wow. I think I might try it. Did you use double sided tape to adhere it?
-
I see on amazon and eBay four sheets roughly 22$. Is it overly complicated to do? Like molding along the skate etc?
-
What thickness Kydex did you use?

Greene or Columbia county?

I got a fresh pair thanks to my wife. Wow what a difference.
-
I am thinking about one of those in red. Tried it on at hockey giant felt good

I had the same powerfoot and shim so I just transferred the shim into my new Supremes. I use the adhesive for the shim but not the powerfoot itself. Hope that makes sense...
-
I took the shims out of a previous pair that was used for approx 3 mos. and re applied them to a new pair without any problems. Before that I had to re position them a few times before I found the best spot for me. I think it will be fine.
