  1. Are both 1 and 2 being caused by the skates, or were they prior issues? 1 - yes 2- possibly, worth a try.
  2. Probably only option is contacting True as you've already done. Maybe call their customer service? They're probably overwhelmed by people emailing them asking for status instead of their LHS
  3. Hey if a retail skate fits you, then have at it.
  4. I think we're referring to different people.
  5. The alignment tool comes with it. The edge checker doesn't.
  6. And that's totally fine. Rob went out of his way for me when I first got my VH back in the day, too (granted there was no LHS middle-man at that point). But expecting long detailed messages from their customer service is probably a bit of a stretch. Just use a bit of common sense, like it appears you are in your case. Some others aren't so much.
  7. Also keep in mind they aren't SUPPOSED to be communicating with the end customer. That's what retailers are for. So you should expect fairly terse answers.
  8. Wow, thats exactly the info I was looking for! Thank you!
  9. Could you stop already? Jesus Christ.
  10. I can't find a whole lot of info out there on the various models and the differences. Just looking at prostockhockey.com to see what they have. MHP18 HP30CH HP35 / HP35C / HP35CX / HP35CX-XTRA HP45 / HP45X / HP45XP / HP45XP-XTRA HP70 P520 / HP520ECHL / MHP520S HPUCLP HP7000 I assume the ones with the same numbers are variations on the same style, but what does, for example the C or CX vs the X or XP mean? What about when it starts with 'M'? Is anyone familiar enough with all these model names to know what they mean?
  11. We've already read about the story about 10 times now.
  12. Played my first early morning game in 30 years today. Normally we play this team on Wednesday nights at 10:15pm but we had a game canceled for a power outage so this was the makeup game. WAY better than playing a late game! Oh, and just found out the new hockey director has made goalies free in our league 🙂 The previous guy was the only one I’ve ever seen that makes goalies pay league fees!
  13. Gotta love losing 5-2 to a team with a sub who scores a hat trick 🤩
  14. I just started backpacking. And I thought being a goalie was an expensive hobby...
  15. For me it was when everything I had was custom and/or pro stock. As a goalie, I don’t think I wear anything at this point you can buy off a shelf. Even my mask is retail but it’s painted. The pants are Crawford pro returns. That’s as retail as my gear gets. So now I don’t even bother going to the store anymore.
  16. Hearing Winnipeg being referred to as “East” made me chuckle 😝 Can you post the name of the LHS so others here can avoid them? 🙂

  18. You expressed what I was thinking much better than I did.
  19. I don't think we ever had a school day cancelled for snow. Only ever for freezing rain.
  20. Yeah. You may not be right on the blue line for zone entries but, at least for beer league, refs rarely are anyway. Don't think of it as being lazy, think of it as conserving your energy. lol. Seriously though, I'm not sure how USA Hockey handles a 2-official system if one official gets injured. That's a great question.
  21. If you're working alone for whatever reason, I don't think anyone is going to fault you for not being on top of every play. I wouldn't try to get ahead of the play because you'll end up killing yourself for, most of the time, no reason.
  22. Crap. I didn't think of that.
